I was really excited to read this book and devoured it within a day. I learnt lots about how i express myself relationships through her analysis of my moon, venus and mars signs. Some of it I already knew but it was useful to have a refresher and to also know how it may impact relationships.However, what I really wanted to know was when would be a good time for me to pursue a relationship and this is where the book let me down which I think is due to the age of the author and the demographic that follow her. The author focuses much of her advice on the Saturn, Jupiter and nodes transiting your 1st and 7th house - much of which happens in your 20s and 30s. However, as Saturn takes 2.5 years to move through each sign and as I'm 40 Saturn wont be transiting those houses for another 12-13 years; Jupiter wont be in my 7th house for another 9 years, and the nodes, well god knows when they will be there. There was nothing in the book to reassure people like me that love is still written in the stars for them... there was info given on other short term transits to look out for but given that these may last a day, a week or a month, it wasn't helpful. Also by the end it was getting very technical and I was flagging!So to sum up- there was lots of great astrology information, especially if you are new-ish to astrology- however, given the the title and the main reason why people will buy the book- the info on synastry (was redundant and came before the chapter on timing relationship activity which is the core purpose of the book. I wish the author had thought more about those that are older and looking for love, as those in that group will have very different astrological needs. Also- no mention of pluto affecting relationships or of pluto retrogrades within the 7th house. The chapter that should have been the the longest was one of the shorter ones. I rarely post a review but thought I should just in case other women my age buy it and come away feeling rubbish like I did when they look up their transits and realise they are being told to focus on another area of their life when they are still in their prime.
