ASC Solar Powered 3-tier Pitcher Water Fountain with Battery/Timer and LED Light (3 Watt Solar Pump Kit)

I like the overall design of the product but can only give it 2 stars as a electric charging unit for back up to the solar charger "is sold separately" but after a week of emails exchanges the company representative says the manual was translated incorrectly. i.e the charger is not avaible. And then some follow up was down right condescending. The pump only worked 2 days . While the pump worked the sound was great. I did try cleaning the pump X2 with no success. In the bright sunlight I looked at the pump again and found a relatively small hair, removed it and the pump is working. The sound of running water is great, The constant on, and 4 hour on are good features but so far the battery only holds a charge for @ 2 hour max. I bought a separate direct solar pump for < $25 which works with no attention..

cheaply made, never worked reliably. Stopped working all together after a few weeks. total waste of money.

I got this as a birthday gift for my dad. We live in Albuquerque so the solar feature was the selling point for me. It looks great in his garden and he tells me he loves the sound it makes.
