Although these books give you a view into what is covered in the exam, I certainly wouldn't rely on them to get you through. You need to study especially if you're doing the Excel Expert exams. A lot has changed since the earlier versions and you will be surprised at just how much you don't know about the capabilities of these programmes.

Good book
A very good read. I would recommend this book as a reference guide as well. It teaches relevant industry skills.

Great
I think this study guide is ok if you want to see new and improved Excel (2013). It is for Excel exams.

Not enough detail to pass the exams!
Firstly, I hadn't realised that the 2013 MOS exams are significantly more challenging than any previous versions (and I've completed each set to Master level since XP). This book is fine as a very rapid revision (it's a pretty short book!). But it has nowhere near enough detail to pass the exams as a standalone resource (which is what it's billed as), even if you're pretty good at Excel. The practice exercises are much easier than most of what you'll see in the test too. In hindsight, I'd probably spend a bit more money on a more comprehensive book (e.g. Walkenbach's Excel 2013 Bible).
