Stunning as always
Archibald Lox is a wonderful tale of heroism and self-belief, told in the utterly enchanting way that only Darren Shan can achieve.I cant recommend this series enough.

Fantastic ending to a fantastic series
Seriously, make sure you start with book one and get reading! If you love fantasy and adventure, Darren Shan never fails to deliver! This series has been so unique and so gripping - not to spoil it for those who haven't read it, but the ending; an intriguing reveal and twist! I wish there was more as I just want to keep reading about Archie and his friends and everything going on in the Merge! Also, check out the Cirque Du Freak series and all of Darren's other book series and singles - you won't be disappointed!

A great ending
A great ending to an enthralling series. I love all of Darren Shans books/series and this didn’t disappoint. I started reading them to make sure they were suitable for my son and got hooked. I know they are meant for children/teens but I don’t care. Can’t wait for DS’s next series, hope it’s not to long.

Amazing set of books!
If you've read all of his other books then add this set to them as well! Fantastic from Shan as always! Can't recommend this series enough. This last book had me gripped all the way through it, I could hardly put it down! Just sad now that it's come to a end.

Adventure, Heartbreak and a whole lot of answers
I finished the final Archibald Lox book. This was such an enjoyable book with a great complete ending.I didn't even mind reading the 3 books of this series separately. Each one was good but this and the previous were my favourites of the whole series. We finally got answer to every single question that was brewing throughout series.Archie found out why he is the way he is, which was kind of how I expected but not as well and I didn't expect the explaination to be in such detail. We had the whole gang in this one at some point.I will say now this book is full of heartbreak, plenty of death. The adventure was non stop and so happy we got to see inside of the Lost Zone. It's just something I was curious about didn't think we would get to explore.I liked how the plots from the previous books merged together to lead to results in this one.If I ever reread I'll make note to pay attention to every detail.

These characters will definitely stay with me for some time to come.
Archibald Lox and the Legion of the Lost sees us to the final mind-blowing conclusion of this epic fantasy saga. I can safely say that it's one that I've enjoyed very much.Book nine in the Archibald Lox series is packed full of punches and twists. I went in with high expectations and in true Shan style, was left with my mind reeling and my heart full in a heavy, satisfying sort of way. The ending was something that I didn't see coming in a million years, and yet was a revelation that made perfect sense, making you want to start the series all over again with fresh knowledge to see what you've missed.I've grown pretty attached to Archie, Inez, Winston and the gang over the space of the series. These characters will definitely stay with me for some time to come. I recommend this series to anyone looking for some high quality fantasy escapism that is overall light-hearted, but peppered with a strong dose of reality and not afraid to dip into some dark places.

Off The XBox And In To A Book.
My Son tells me these books are fab and have even helped us get him off his XBox for a few hours. He's also read other Darren Shan series including Cirque Du Freak, Zom B and has enjoyed them all. My only concern is we are running out of series to read.Reads on his Amazon Kindle, which makes it even cheaper to buy the kindle versions and less space when going on holiday vs paper backs.

I wasn’t ready
I wasn’t ready for where this book went and all the things it revealed. A super fitting end. An absolute great ride of a series.

Amazing
This was awesome ending. Totally didn't expect that. I really enjoy different words that were used to describe the exact emotions of the characters. Daren shan always the best. Cheers to people in other spheres.

A fantastic ending to a great series!
Finding himself in the most peculiar and deadly of situations, Archie and his friends must use every ounce of cunning and strategy they can muster if they are to survive. Overall, this was a fantastic series and true to Shan’s style. However, and this pains me to say this, Archibald Lox and the Legion of the Lost left me satisfied by the story we were given but unfulfilled because of the story and journey we could have had. Certain elements of the series were built up from Book 1, and the possibilities were endless. I feel as though we were given the ending we were because the story had to end in Book 9, not because the story was actually finished. I truly feel Archie’s journey deserved another installment which would have allowed for the full journey to be explored. The characters and depth to which they were developed are on par with Shan’s Cirque du Freak series. Each personality came through in the beginning, and I would have loved to see more of that development in this last installment (the last three books, to be precise) of the new (and revealed) characters. The Merge was described so vividly that I felt as though I were there with Archie and Inez.I was blessed by the reading gods to be allowed to read ARCs of this series, and I cannot express how exciting that was. The positives outweigh any negatives, and the series will definitely go on my recommended list. A part of me will always wish Shan had explored the ending and inner journey as much as he had in Cirque du Freak/The Saga of Darren Shan, but Archie’s journey was delightful, thrilling, insightful, and would make a great movie (provided the studio not rewrite the script).
