Q: Sizes make no sense, 37" small! Anyone in UK bought one and can give advise, my wife is a size12/14, what should she go for?

I bought a 3XL, I'm a size 16 and even this is a little tight. The sizes are hard to understand I agree, a 12-14 should consider going a couple of sizes up from small so either a L or XL, especially if they prefer clothing not to be too tight.

Q: How long is the item? To the floor?

It depends which size you get on that length. If you check the size info in the description it states length for each size. I am 5’6” and it comes to mid calf on me. Hope that helps.
