Took me back to 1970
Considering that the original used to cost me about ยฃ8, I found the price a little eye watering. However, the scent took me right back to the 70s, there I was in orange satin loon pants and an indian cotton shirt ..... A lot of reviews seem to complain that the scent is not quite right - well I thought it was absolutely fine, with maybe a missing top note or two. It is, after all, 50 years ago, so you'd need a pretty good nose to "remember" exactly how it was. All I can say is that I have absolutely no complaints, and look forward to revisiting my youth every time I wear it!

Aqua Manda
My late sister had Aqua Manda in the bottle with the flat ornate lid in the seventies when we lived in Cyprus. It reminds me so much of her and of the Cypriot Orange groves ~ It's citrusy and heady and I love it ! Thank you for resurrecting it Aqua Manda !

I hate it
I distinctly remember the original Aqua Manda - that fresh zingy orange fragrance. Very light and pretty. Just the name and the memory of the original Aqua Manda sum up my whole growing up years - But to me, this new version is nothing like it - it's horrible. I'm very disappointed. The packaging is very similar, but the smell is completely different. The firm who produce this new version say that the originator has given his approval for the fragrance, but as far as I know he hasn't actually said it's the original smell. Believe me - it's not. The firm are proud that over 40,000 people have purchased it - but what era are these new customers from ? Do they remember the original ? To me this is a light fragrance, but nothing like what Aqua Manda should smell like. If someone had squirted this on me and not told me what it was, I never would have said it was Aqua Manda. Huge regret.

Why did I buy this !
Luckily I had read the reviews so I was not too upset . It is nothing like the lovely original aqua manda .. On a blind testing I would never have put that name to it . I am not sure if I like it .. Can't make up my mind yet but I certainly would not wear it out ..keep it for wearing at home .its musky ..heavy and a real winter perfume . The original perfume had a lovely light orangey/ lemony smell .. It was a great perfume . This sadly is not .

OKAY BUT NOT REALLY A PERFUME
It's reminiscent of the original perfume but does not have the staying power. I would describe it more accurately as a "toilet water" and it needs to be used quite liberally to be effective. In other words it's a bit overpriced for what it is.

I loved this smell as a young thing in the early ...
I loved this smell as a young thing in the early 70s in London and was delighted to find it had been revived! However it does not smell quite as strongly and as I recall it was a cheaper, light, toilet water type perfume that we poor office workers could afford in the 1970s!
