Excellent quality
Great roaster from a great company. Heavy, commercial quality pan. After reading some of the one star reviews I can't help but to think there must be user error involved and some of the poor reviews don't even pertain to the roaster itself. If you are familiar with Viking and know how to use and care for your equipment you'll love this roaster.

Perfect for roasting a bird in oven
Highest quality material and a sharp appearance. The elevated rack allows heat to cook what you’re roasting from all sides which makes for a more uniform result. The pan collects all savory drippings and you can roast vegetables in it while what’s on the rack hovers. A great system and an indispensable tool for a good kitchen.

Update- not a good product but Amazon send me used one
Update - the bottom is deep scratched and rusted just from dragging it on the oven racks, no other pan I have is that bad. Do not recommend and decrease to 1 star, the quality is just ridiculously bad and the price for it is a joke. Amazon, not happy. Yes the product was discounted but I would not buy it at the "normal" price. Nowhere in the description it said it is used and returned item. It was clined well with scratchy abrasive sponge or detergent and the supposedly mirror finish inside is not a mirror anymore. Also have a big 1 inch heavy scratch at the bottom. Otherwise the product looks good and using 18/8 vs. 18/10 steel on the inside is disappointing cost cutting but acceptable. Have not used it yet thinking of returning it, I purchased a new item not a returned one. Not happy Amazon!!!

Used this product for making beef standing prime rib roast. Wonderful roasting pan for anything not needing a lid.
