Lock was a direct replacement on my 2014 enclosed trailer but of you wiggle the keys at all to get them past the key hole shutter they will not bend like a normal key. It will break right away and its now stuck inside your new locks key hole. Can't use a small magnet nope its aluminum! Takes small picks and a exacto knife. So if you buy this lock get metal keys made. Even after luring the locks yah need to wiggle these keys all the way in.

I installed this handle on my brand new trailer door so i could close it from the inside since it only came with the big bar latch system on it and we couldn't keep the door closed while we were inside the trailer. While it was intimidating cutting into my new door, installation went much better than I anticipated since I had never done something like this before. I recommend creating a template, as I did, before hand so you are sure placement is correct before you start cutting holes in your door but I imagine if you're replacing a broken latch this will be an easy swap. Keys stick a little going into the locks but they function perfectly once you get them in.

I purchased one of these locks from another vendor it came in plastic and broke with in a month.. this one however is metal and seems to be very durable . It was easy to instal even with lack of instructions being provided. Quiet lock, sturdy and looks great! Great buy

I have actively used the lock on this door for **6 days.** We replaced the lock after someone tried to break into the trailer and this was the replacement. Locked the trailer up and she's been sitting a few months (maybe 3-4 or so?) until now. I am currently in Covid Quarantine and thought that the comfort of my trailer would be superior to a couch in the garage so that I can isolate from my family and not get them sick, too.Today I went to unlock the door to go inside for a shower, after everyone else left for work, and the red deadbolt latch gave way and started spinning. The soft plastic had completely stripped of the one flat side that engages the deadbolt and was spinning on the pin. After only 6 days of actual use, this is absolutely unacceptable. I would be more understanding if the lock was several years old, plastic doesn't last forever. But we bought and installed it only 3-4 months ago, or so (end of summer).I was locked inside for **almost 4 hours** until someone could come free me. Thankfully my neighbor was kind enough to pass me a screw driver so that I could take the thing apart and free myself.DO NOT BUY THIS LOCK. I **DO NOT* recommend this product to anyone.I wont even bother with a request for a refund, I understand Amazon's refund policy, but this is maddening that something that one would expect a reasonable amount of physical use of would be made of such horrible soft plastic materials. I would have been livid if I had to call a locksmith to get me out.
