Works well and stops the high RPM sputtering
My Arctic cat ran at very low speeds but as soon as I tried to get a little RPM it would cough and sputter this is because when the voltage regulator goes out the voltage can go up to around 16 volts at higher RPM. This will burn out your control board so the Arctic cat will limit the high RPM to protect the control board. One way to test whether you need this or not is just take a voltmeter across the battery and rev It up. Mine was 16 volts. As soon as I put this regulator in the Arctic cat ran like a top. On the older models the top screw is a devil to get in and out without removing the whole rear cover. I solved the problem by drilling a half inch hole over the screw . The side plate covers up the hole when it's reinstalled. So don't kill yourself trying to get that top screw out.

Just like factory....
Worked great. Fixed the problem with my ‘07 Arctic Cat 500 4x4. After start up, about 45 seconds, the instrument display would start flashing “ volts” . This new regulator fixed that problem.....
