Keeps a bob...
I use them to keep my bob just curly enough...just clip the curl in the front part of the clip, before the bend, like upright pin curls...works great!!!

Missing a clip
My package came in a completely sealed bag, but with one clip missing. Several other clips were unclipped, so it seems like it was handled poorly before packaging. Other than that, the clips that came are nice.

Controls stray hair but...
I bought these barrettes to wear while exercising, playing golf, etc. and they hold my hair fine. My only complaint is that a strand or two of my hair can get caught around the small rivets at the smaller end of the barrette and it is hard if not impossible to release the hair.
