Scrolling through the prime day deals I stumbled upon a very familar looking keyboard that I swore I had seen multiple times before. On closer inspection I was right as this keyboard is none other than the latest budget keyboard darling, the Womier SK71, which in turn is a rebranded Xinmeng M71.Xinmeng appears to be the OEM while other companies rebrand the same keyboard and sell it under there own banner, in this case Attack Shark! But don't worry if you think the name sounds about as appealing as being stuck in a lift with your local M.P because this keyboard has zero branding, save for the wifi dongle bearing the Xinmeng name.In a world where prices for anything and everything have sky rocketed with most companies only caring about maximizing profits, and nothing else, somehow custom keyboards are getting much cheaper. If you were to travel back in time merely 3 years ago than something like this would have cost around $300 and almost certainly would arrive minus the switches, keycaps and wireless compatability. At the 70 pounds I paid for on Prime day this keyboard has zero competition, the fact it's cheaper than the like of the Epomaker EK68 whilst also being aluminium is simply mind boggling. I really thought the Cidoo 65 V2 was the best bang for buck aluminium keyboard on the market but being 30% cheaper means the M71 is catapulted into a league of its own.Unboxing:The M71 comes with additional keycaps should you want to use the keycaps on a full sized keyboard, this is a nice touch, plus you get a keycap puller, braided cable and a very handy plastic tray to protect the keyboard from clumsy people spilling various liquids over said board!Build/Ergonomics:While perhaps not quite as heavy or well built as my Cidoo V2 or Keychron Q1 this is still a very nicely finshed keyboard while being substantially cheaper than both and also boasting a much rarer 68% layout. The M71 is a fairly flat keyboard which was too flat for myself, however this was easily fixed by adding some feet from an old Denon amp with the aid of some blue tack!I choose the pastel blue colour which matches well with the cherry profile keycaps provided; but just be aware the bottom colouring on the keyboards appears ever so slightly lighter than the top giving it an almost two toned look.RGB:For those into RGB then look no further as the M71 has some excellent lighting, with plenty of settings, plus a cool diffuser which emits RGB from the side of the keyboard to really get the party going.Groovy!Mods:If you're coming from a standard keyboard or are new to the hobby I would suggest stock will be more than good enough for most. Those tempted by the Tempest tape mod should be aware you will have to take 3 wires out and it may test your patience replacng them.No force break mod was needed either, as there was next to no ping, and lastly the M71 comes with more layers than an Eskimo which in turn negates the gasket flex.Sound/Feel:The M71 includes Oteamu white jade switches, these are quite light with a nice poppy sound with a good bottom out feel, and felt several tiers above other Oteamu switches I have used. The Oteamu white jade were also very smooth at stock with only the merest hint of scratchiness which will vanish with lubing. However not owning an Oteamu switch opener I decided to use some hand lubed Wisteria tactile switches on the alphas and the board sounded and felt even nicer. This transformed the sound and all of a sudden the M71 was heading into deep thocky territory with a hint of creaminess but taking out layers will give this board a more poppy stock sound signature. Finally the included stabs were also good with only the space bar needing some minor attention and the GMK Shoko clones (naughty naughty) this keyboard comes with are PBT, which are well constructed, with no obvious faults or defects.Noice! One slight annoynance I did find was how tight fitting these keycaps are, being guilty of pulling out a multitude of other switches when being removed. The stock switches did not have this issue though.Overall:So once again just when you thought it was safe to go into the sea along comes the Attack Shark M71, however this Shark will only attack your wallet and very mildly at that. But poor puns aside it's crazy to think that this hobby could currently get any better but once again another gem has been unearthed, this time in the form of the M71, ripe for the masses. If you're looking to move into the world of custom keyboards or looking for a major step up from your average keyboard then this is a truly superb option for the price even at retail. But considering I paid 70 pounds for this on Prime day I almost feel like I've just committed daylight robbery! For those already down the rabbits hole who don't own a 68% custom keyboard then give this a shot, as I personally find this to be a fantastic board even at stock and when coupled with a staggering price, this purchase is a no brainer.

A high quality keyboard
The keyboard is fully metal, and feels hefty and premium to use. The key caps have a nice texture and the switches are good for linears. The sound of the keyboard is also quite satisfying, as this keyboard comes with a lot of common mods, though it isn't completely at the 'thonk' level. At least, compared to buying a gaming keyboard from some brand, this is a massive upgrade in every way. The rgb is great, and it even has diffusion panels on the sides. I do prefer the UK layout but it seems ISO keyboard of similar quality are nearly twice the price, and getting a full metal body really does make a difference in sound and feel.As I hardly use the f keys it being a smaller form factor doesn't impede me much, though a couple keys for some special symbols are missing.Anyway, if you are coming from a standard keyboard this can easily be the only keyboard you need to buy. It is pretty insane the quality you can get, compared to popular brands which just throw full plastic junk.

if i could give more stars i could
this is the best keyboard i've ever had. the switches are outemu whites and they sound absolutely amazing. i have absolutely nothing to say against this keyboard, it looks amazing, the keycaps are amazing and overall i love it. the value for money on this keyboard is truely something else. i thought that they must have cut some corners somewhere to make this so cheap but i have found 0 faults in it. please, if you have the money and the need for a new keyboard, i could reccommend nothing better. 12/10 keyboard.

Superb at this price!
If you are in the market for a high quality aluminium hot-swappable mechanical keyboard there really isn't much to touch this for the price.Essentially identical to the Xinmeng M-71/Womier SK71 for less than £100 you get a board that feels (to me at least) more like a £200 - £300 keyboard.Mine arrived in a Xinmeng box with (thankfully) no branding on the board itself at all.I got the purple version which looks amazing but is more of a pastel shade than deep purple.Stock, out of the box this board feels very solid with a good weight to it. The typing experience as delivered is way better than a lot of more expensive boards I have tried & you can always replace the switches & keycaps for your own preference as its fully hot-swappable with 3/5 pin switches & South facing LEDS so no interference with any keycaps.I got an extra 10% off with a voucher which made it an even more ridiculous bargain.Go for it, this board is genuinely awesome!

Value for money is insane
I recently purchased the ATTACK SHARK M71 CNC Aluminum Custom Mechanical Gaming keyboard and it has been nothing short of spectacular. The build quality is top-notch with its CNC Aluminum body giving it a sturdy and premium feel. The Tri-Mode BT5.0/2.4G Wireless/Wired connectivity options make it versatile and easy to use across multiple devices and platforms. The 4600mAh rechargeable battery ensures that I can game for hours without worrying about the keyboard dying on me.The hot-swappable switches, which come pre-lubed, are a game-changer, especially at this price point. The ability to easily replace or modify switches to match my preference is a feature usually found in more expensive keyboards. This contributes to a smoother keystroke experience. The sound of the keys is another aspect that I absolutely love. Each keypress delivers a satisfying and resonant click, making typing a delightful experience. The sound isn’t too loud to be distracting, but just enough to provide auditory feedback. In conclusion, the M71 is a well-rounded keyboard that delivers on both functionality and aesthetics. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or someone who simply appreciates a good typing experience, this keyboard is a fantastic investment.

Best keyboard for your budget
For only 100 euros you can get so much out of this keyboard. the switches are very well lubed from the factor and give a nice sound. i would describe it to be thocky but on the higher pitch of thock (if you can understand that)the stablizers come with little to no rattle or tick and are also very well lubed from the factory. the best i have seen without having to apply any mods.if you want a deeper sound you can always use the tape mod which makes it sound so much deeper. its very easy, just look up a youtube tutorial.the alluminum exterior really makes it feel heavy and premium at this very low price point compared to many other alluminum keyboards.i would recomend this keyboard to anyone because of how amazing it is completely stock and right out of the box. it really cannot be denied at this price

echt gutes keyboard
