SLC's Irregular Shaped Earthtone Oil Tan Leather Piece 10-13sqft

I ordered from these guys before and the description was accurate-ish..... The first time I ordered I received a leather that had some sort of gold flake on the whole piece, which I wasn't expecting but the things I made turned out to be very nice looking. So I decided to order, again without contacting the seller first, and this time the leather I received is not what I can even use for the things I planned. Instead of it being 3-5oz thickness as the last one I ordered was as described, this new piece is closer to 12-14oz leather.For the price I plan on saving it for a later day when I have a use for it, but I just wanted to let others know that if they have ANY needs to be met, contact the seller before ordering.*Edit: 5 stars because they responded to my email*

Color and texture are beautiful! I received about 12 square feet of leather; it is an irregular shape, but not so irregular that it’s unfit for a large project. I found it to be very maker-friendly & saw multiple potential projects in this piece. It’s about 2mm thick in most areas, has a warm soft suede underside and a lovely not-too-shiny grain on top.The superior quality of this leather is obvious, even to the untrained eye. I’m in love; will definitely order more.

I just received this and it is perfect for my needs. When measured across the shortest distances, I could get a 45" x 30" rectangle cut from this. The thickness is similar to that used on my farm shoes. The surface has some scruff marks, but it doesn't take away from its integrety and I think adds to its character.

Great product at a great price. The example I received was a perfect chocolate tone and mostly intact, with a nice consistent thickness throughout - there were some imperfections around the perimeter of the piece, but that's to be expected and I was pleasantly surprised at how much usable material there was.

Got into making small leather pouches for Viking Age Reenactment. Kind of new to the craft and not sure of thickness. Now I know and this stuff is the perfect thickness for small purses and pouches. Good color too, though I did not request this color.

Amazing leather for the price. Made a pair of lace up ghillie shoes for a renaissance festival costume. The leather held up quite well walking in them for three days. I plan on making 2 more pairs of the shoes from the same roll of leather.

Honestly cant recommend ordering from here enough! The leather was great and the issue we did have they solved immediately.

Huge slab of leather, perfect in my opinion. 2.0mm think. I placed a shiny metal one-foot long ruler on top of the leather to show the length and width. Had some branding on one side, maybe just use that as scrap pieces. Mine was chocolate brown in color, I didn't request a color.
