Marked by Pain (The Marked Series Book 2)

I read this book straight after finishing the first, and again read it in one sitting. These two authors together have a magical quality to their work.Book 2 in the series jumps straight in with our heroine kidnapped by a man she thought long dead. A book full of betrayal and consequences to actions not carefully thought through, Kenzie once again proves her worth by refusing to give up on what she believes to be right, even when it seems all those she loves have chosen the side of evil. I continue to adore her snarky attitude and refusal to be the damsel in destress, fighting to save those she loves. I like that she doesn’t just sit around and wait to be rescued by the men in her life, but jumps into the action with both feet.The character of Mr Daniels is developed in more depth here and you almost feel a love hate relationship for his sister when looking at it from his perspective. Not everything is as black and white as it seems.Another great book. I will be jumping straight into the third and final book the minute I put this one down.

I'll start by saying this book is so good, that I went ahead and bought the physical copy as well as the kindle.I was totally blown away by the first book, and this book was no different. If anything, it's getting and better. The story line is very interesting. I'm so drawn to it, I'm like a moth being drawn to a flame. I'm so invested in this book, that I felt like I was feeling all of Kenzie's emotions as she was going along. The characters are just as amazing as they were in the first book and I'm pretty obsessed with all of the guys, Kenzie is still a badass, and I'm DYING to know what Mr. Daniels first bloody name is! I just need to know!I'm so excited to see where this book will lead. What will happen to Kenzie and her guys? What will happen to Kenzies father? So many more questions that I'm very much lookig forward to getting answers to! This book is definitely worth the 5 stars.

What a cliff hanger. Battles and betrayal throughout this book. Plenty of action and lots of love. This storyline was superb. Just gets better and better

Wow what a way to leave it.This is another exciting read in the marked series. A little lacklustre in parts but this book does give as good as book one. Kenzie can be frustrating at times but I can understand why she can't react and decides to relent. For now!Great character development. You can't help but love some more than others but it's hard lol, especially in the moment (although said moments come at weird times.Still Mr Daniels for me, or um Enzo.Great read.

I'm loving this series!! There are so many twists and turns and I felt like I was on a constant emotional rollercoaster!! Can't wait for the next one 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

All of the books I've read so far have been brilliant

So there was a major reveal in this book which I definitely did NOT see coming. It should have kept it interesting but honestly the situation got boring and predictable quite quickly. The ending was heartbreaking and even though you knew *something* was going to happen you didn’t think it was going to be that, or that character. I will be reading the next book just so I can see what happens.

Great second book in the series. I got lost in the book and read it in one sitting it was so good. Enjoyed his the storyline and characters developed and oh that ending! Can't wait for the next!!
