I used it to move a log the day I got it and it worked great.

Product is heavy duty. It would be better if the heavy hook would fit with a heavy duty chain - the hook opening is too small for big link chains.

This thing works great. I will say it took me a little bit of time to get everything lined up right and finish putting it together. But once it gets a bit, it is not letting go as long as there is tension on it. I have a 35 horsepower Kubot, I went under the near the attachment point with a heavy duty strap and then over the bucket. This moved most of the left near the attachment point. I tried lifting a 32" diameter Red Oak about 6' long. It would bit but the tractor didn't have enough juice to lift it. Took the Stihl MS 661 with the 36" bar and cut it in half lengthwise, grab it with the claw and lifted right right up. I would give this product a 10 if I could.

this does work great, very sturdy, gets heavy at the end off the day, but it's worth it, saves alot off time and muscle

I purchased these to aid in positioning railroad ties here at our farm. We recently purchased 200 premium grade railroad ties. They weigh upwards of 200 lbs each and are 8.5 feet long. These tongs have helped me greatly in positioning them in place once we drop them with the machines. The tongs are easy to operate, sturdy, and make one handed dragging of logs or ties possible. The tips are very sharp points and can bend if you are careless with them. A proper hit with a hammer on the anvil bent it back.

Worked better than expected. Had 29" wide logs cut, and this worked like a dream on the 16" pieces.Saved me from bending over, and saved me on Chiropractor visits.My only doubt is that the screws will come lose and fall in the woods. If they had a hole in the bold, and one could pin the nut on it.. I'd feel this would be perfect.I bought a 2nd small one for small logs.. as it will work better for such sized logs.Otherwise, I'd suggest have a bag of a few extra bolts and nuts handy.. for future use.
