Works very well for making my own vitamins

I buy loose turmeric from Amazon and fill them myself. Great quality and economical!

I’m sensitive to gelatin, so anytime a doctor prescribes a medication that is in a gelatin capsule, I use these & transfer the medication from the gelatin capsule into these veggie capsules. They’re clear, colorless, odor free, & they have no taste. They are smooth & easy to swallow. They are all natural & non toxic, so I don’t have to be concerned about any allergies to extra ingredients or exposure to unhealthy chemicals. I’ve been using them for years & I would definitely recommend the NOW brand of empty veggie capsules.

These capsules for sure give a lot of space to fit more product in!! Very well made and got a nice give due to them, because being veggies caps and not horrible gelatin. I dissolved one with some water to see how they dissolve. They break down really smoothly and fast!! Love that!! The only two down-sides for me personally are that 1) I find they are a little harder to swallow than my smaller veggie caps. My gullet seems to prefer the slightly smaller version of veggie caps. I don't know if the swallow issue is due to the larger size, or whether these caps have some type of coating on them which makes them not travel down the back of ones throat as smoothly and down the pipe. 2) I would prefer it if there was a second bag within the outer packaging that contained the actual capsules. I find this bag easy to tip over when opened and then they all spill out so fast over counter surface and the floor!! So be warned, watch out for that issue. Otherwise great veggie caps if you have a larger swallow or don't mind taking larger capsules.

I've had no problems with these capsules. I've seen some people claim they melt and stick together. Some claimedv they cracked. I have stored them properly and have had no such problems. They are quite large but I've had no problems getting them down. They do not taste or smell bad to me. I feel like they were a good value and are working well. I will add that I do not use any capsule holding or loading equipment other than my fingers, a bowl, and a tiny funnel. They are plenty large enough to fill without expensive equipment.
