Jeani 708 2A Side Pull Switch c/w Pull Cord & Toggle 230v

Bought a set of wall lights that had no pull cord and these did the job perfectly. I first drilled a hole in the wall light surround for the pull cord to hang down. I then threaded the pull cord through the surround before lining it up so that it worked smoothly when you pulled it. Next I super glued the pull cord attachment to the inside of the wall light surround. Before glueing it to the surround I attached the live wire from the wall light to the cord attachment that comes with 2 tiny holes built into it. I then got myself another piece of live wire (Roughly 4inch in length) and attached one end to the other hole built into the cord attachment. Now I was ready to glue the cord attachment to inside of the wall light surround before attaching the other end of my 4inch live wire to the live wire coming out from the wall. Job Done!! I wanted to explain how I did it because it came with no instructions and I looked everywhere on line for some but could not find any. I hope that this helps someone else who has got the same problem as I had. Great product though

The switch broke in our HiB illuminated bathroom mirror, (it was provoked but that's another story). This switch turned out to be an identical replacement so I didn't have to make any modifications to get it to fit. It has a single screw mounting, with two screw terminals for the wires.I've given it 4 stars, as although it is very good value for money, I would have preferred to pay a little more for a somewhat more robust switch, hence I'm not giving it the full 5.

This was purchased to replace the broken switch in the bathroom "shell" light. I'm happy to say that it fitted perfectly so no faffing or other adjustments needed to install it. It would be a 5 star product if the pull cord was much longer, but this is only a very minor point and does not detract from the fact that the switch is a very good product. Dispatched and delivered very promptly.

This pull cord switch is so difficult to find via the normal accepted electrical outlets, but having been introduced to Eleconline via Amazon, it is definitely the place to go for all those hard to find electrical spares and all from your armchair at home. Avoid frustrating searches of the yellow pages and web browsing, merely go Eleconline through Amazon, a one hit wonder, you will not be disappointed. I got my switch from under a fiver and didn't even pay any postage and packing, if time is money to you, then go Eleconline via Amazon. Really pleased.Bill. (Plymouth Devon)

The switch broke in my illuminated bathroom mirror and this switch turned out to be an identical replacement. The pull cord appeared to have split through the previous switch, so I tied the new pull cord through a piece of flattened drinking straw so it (hopefully) wouldn't be able to cut through the switch . It would have been better if the switch was mounted vertically in the mirror rather than horizontally.I still expect to have to replace it again in another few years though, not a fault of the switch, just the fitting design.

The switch is not as the photo 1/2 rounded at one end that would have been an exact replacement, but it it's perfectly OK and good value for the price.

The only place was Amazon that we could find these and they were exactly the same as in the light mirror in the bathroom that had broken. We were relieved to find these.
