Q: My wife is usually a size 7. The options are 6-7 or 7.5-8.5. I read some comments that the fleece is a tight fit, so I’m thinking 7.5-8.5, right?

I wear a size 7 and I agree the faux fur will "mellow" it down a bit. I usually order 7 when i wear a 7 and 1/2 in other sizes

Q: Can these be washed in a washing machine?

Sneakers and clogs can be washed in the machine, but always a risk. In a net bag. But glues, fleeces, soles glued to sneakers can be damaged. Before I realized my messed up feet were why I had tons of shoes and innersoles, I tried em all. Crocs, UGGs, sneakers, name it. Washed em all. Worked in both a shoe store and a laundramat when I was way younger. All I can say is even my UGG boots, I use appropriate soap, buy two pairs, wash them in the sink with high pressure sprayer. Warm water. Hot can dissolve glues, cold does not get out oils, etc. Thoroughly dry but not directly on a heater. Nor in cool air or they get musty/mildewy. Fleece can often be refluffed if no other plastic innersole. I used a brush used for elderly, baby or pets. Soft but long bristles. My go to is Zout added to gentle soap. Zout has no suds, no scent, stain removal. The stuff is absolute magic. 40 years, I've used it on even suede pumps, but only recommend for inside shoes though. Washing machines can have risks. Footwear *can come apart. Even if they are low price, it's your call, but I would not. Hope this helps.

Q: How high is the heel on this? I need a shoe to go with a medical boot I have to wear.

Look for shape up style or platform shoes. I like the LOUBIT nursing platform shoes. I had to get a thick heeled shoe for when I had a walking boot as well and that's what worked for me. Good luck.
