I moved and took my existing washer/dryer with me. The day I hooked up my old washer it failed to drain after wash cycle, it took some head scratching, some mild profanity, a perfectly shaped pair of pliers, the internet and amazon to diagnose a bad lid switch, which I ordered from amazon on the spot. Two days later I resumed the profanity as I realized that even though the switch is visible near the front of the machine, I had to move the machine out of the room to gain the space required to take the entire outer shell off of the washer, there is no shortcut. Once it's apart it's easy to change the switch out. I got everything back together, got machine back into the room, ran it through it's cycle and it worked perfectly, has ever since. Older Roper 8 speed, 2 cycle direct-drive, the two mounting screws were the first clue, i felt around under the rim of mine and what i felt mirrored the images on the amazon site, so i ordered it. If you have a similar machine and symptom, this may well be your cheap fix.

My washer would stop operating right before the rinse cycle. Internet searches showed this was caused by a faulty door switch. Hoping this was all I would need I started looking for a replacement switch.Local stores had this switch costing a lot more and not in stock, anyhow. Various pricing on Amazon but this one seemed most affordable with fast shipping. This was shipped the next day with my prime.The original switch had 3 wires that were tucked into a rubber tube that had a few retaining clips to guide the wires down the inside of the washer. This one has a harden plastic tube that made the installation much easier. Just had to use one clip to hold in place. Once in place, the switch allowed my washer to work again.

I ordered this part because of a youtube description on how to fix the washing machine. It was very thorough and it even included the part number.Sure, enough after having it installed everything worked like new. Very happy with the product and the quickness of the delivery.Highly recommend!

This component worked liked a charm!I have a Kenmore 70 Series washer and required a replacement. This component is compatible with the electrical connections, but the supporting plastic tube is too long to fit properly.That being said, with a small hand saw I cut the plastic tubing to match the old component and it fit neatly. All in all, it fixed my problem and was probably not designed to fit my model, so can't fault the product for that.

Be ready to skin the washer, at least on one I did.3 sides of sheet metal to remove to get to it, then separate the top. Really only a 2 wire switch, so you can jumper it to verify that is the problem.Installed switch, and washer is good for another 25 years!

This product was a perfect replacement for the broken lid switch on my washing machine. This part, along with an easy to follow installation YouTube video, allowed me to repair my machine without an expensive service call.

This was easy to install . . . .the length of the wire protective casing was longer than needed fro my washer so I had to cut it back. Other than that - this was an easy installation. One week in so far, not clear on duration of durability, but happy out of the gate.

This was the 2nd one I have purchased to replace the lid switch. Hopefully, this one lasts longer than the 1st one I got from a different company. So far, so good.

I have a Whirlpool Ultra Care II that needed this switch. Part came in quick enough, installation was super easy. I just have to attach a piece of plastic on top of the flapper to make it work. Not sure if this is the problem of the part. I would rate 5 star if it came in with two screws needed.

A bit of a pain to install but that’s the dryers fault. Part worked great. Doesn’t come with screws.
