Great little stove fan
Upgraded our previous stove fan and this one has made a huge difference. Distributes the heat from our log burner really well and virtually silent. Nice and neat looking too.

I'm a fan
We have three stoves (we live out in the sticks). This one is efficient, and starts turning earlier than our two-bladed fans. This is great when the stove is hot, but maybe not so much at the beginning of the burn, as it's then moving cooler air around, causing a draught. So the trick is to experiment with the direction the fan is blowing so it moves air around the room but you're not directly in its line of fire, as it were. Once you get that sorted, it's superb.

A novelty item. Might work, a bit.
At £20-25, if you want a stove fan then buy this one. It's been working for 3 months so far, and it's barely audible. But don't expect to notice much difference to your heat distribution. It appears to use a Peltier solid state device to generate a small amount of electricity to drive a fan motor. These Peltier elements are commonly seen in small powered picnic coolers, in which a voltage is applied and one side of the device gets colder, the other hotter. The effect is reversible and, instead of applying a current and getting a heat difference, if a heat difference is created then a current can be produced. That is how this stove fan is powered. The energy produced depends on the temperature difference between one side of the Peltier device and the other. The base of the fan collects heat from the stove top and conducts it to the 'hot' side of the device. The vanes at the top of the fan are a heat sink intended to cool the 'cold' side of the device so as to produce the current for the fan. As the entire thing is actually getting pretty hot, the temperature difference is fairly small, and so is the corresponding amount of power produced. The fan moves a small amount of air nonetheless. Quite how useful this is is difficult to say. I bought this fan when our heating broke down in November 22. My stove is more than capable of heating the room it is in, and I intended that it should also raise the temperature of the rest of the house by a useful amount. Natural convection seemed not to be doing very much and I hoped that a fan might improve things. My expectations were low, and they have been met. I think it might be doing something, but I can't feel it and I haven't measured it. In fairness the stove is a good 5 metres from the door into the hallway that leads to the rest of the house. It's possible that the fan helps to heat the room it is in more evenly. I can't say much about how this fan compares with others as it's the only one I have had. But I suspect they don't differ much in power and effectiveness. I've given it 4 stars on the basis that it is probably as good as any of the others.

It works
It works. Stove need to get pretty hot, too hot to place your hand there, before this starts to work. But it does help the air to move and distribute the heat. You'll have to find out by trial and error the best location to place it in, if it's uneven the thing will rock a bit and be noisy. It may even 'walk" a bit! A bit of lubrication now and then helps it stay working smoothly.

Good sized silent stove fan
Very happy with this stove fan. Looks great, is silent in running and the blades are nice and big. Seems to have a very good build quality and its moves the heat around well. Good value for money, would recommend.

Decent for what these little novel fans do
Things to consider...I’ve had three of this type of fan over the years. This is my first 4 blade which I would say is a must. Three / two blade fans vibrate, go out of balance and are noisy after some use. This one is silent. For what they do - they are not a magic cure for poor home heating. They are a novelty due to how they turn seemingly by magic, however they do help circulate the heat from the depths of an inglenook fireplace. They just don’t generate enough wattage to be powerful enough to blast you from across the room - wouldn’t even blow out a candle. But over the course of an evening you will feel the benefit of the heat dispersal compared to not having one. This one starts up quickly - circa 2 mins / once the log burner is established. Decent little buy, seems solid enough. The fan blades are always thin like foil due to being light enough to rotate under low power. Only put it in today so will see how long it lasts Would recommend

Tutto OK, nessun problema.
