Ugly, but worthy upgrade.
I love the sound of my Grado SR80x headphones, but the bare foam all the pads are made of starts to irritate my ears within a few minutes. These have a removable perforated leatherette cover that acts as a barrier between your ear and the foam. So much more comfortable. Can finally use my Grados for more than thirty minutes. Did not seem to alter the sound in any meaningful way, at least to my largely untrained ears.Only dig is they are a bit of a pain to get installed. I found it easiest to remove the leatherette cover and install the bare foam pad first, then carefully stretch the cover over the foam. After a little wiggling about, they fit my SR80x perfectly.

Comfortable alternative to Grado pads
This is my second pair of these. As with the first, they're way more comfortable than the Grado stock ones in most cases. They feel nicer on the ear and do not seem to alter sound much if at all in either form. Bass "mode" does not sound different to my ears. You'd be hard pressed to get Grados to have bass anyway.Biggest selling point for me on these is the price compared to Grado pads.

They change the sound signature
Tried them with Grado GH2. The sound became kind of muffled. Maybe it would not be noticeable on cheaper models but for me it was a showstopper. These pads are more comfortable than the original but as someone commented here the leather feels itchy.

I use them on a pair of koss ksc75 with the headband mod and they work awesome

Not a fan of these earpads
The low density foam these are made of means better initial comfort, but after a while it fails to provide much firmness. As the clamping force changes, so does the distance of the drivers, over a short period of time as the foam compresses. All in I found these rather uncomfortable, inferior in sound to the originals, and just not that attractive. They made my Grado's look gaudy too, which is hard to do.

Definite comfort enhancement for Grado headphones; and they don’t fall off
Grado headphones have a reputation for sounding good but being relatively uncomfortable to wear. I agree with this; but even if the earpads are improved, the stubborn Grado wires are still uncomfortable to deal with. Overall, I prefer my Sennheiser HD-580 and HD-560ii phones because they are much more comfortable to wear and sound very good. But I have two pairs of Grados: the entry level SR-60 (that I used at work and no longer need) and the Grado Allesandro MS-2. Two years ago I bought the 4" foam replacement pads that turn the Grados into circumaural/around-the-ear phones. I liked the improvement the pads made, but they kept falling off the earpieces almost every time I set them down, even after I applied some double-stick tape to them. I just went back to using my Sennheisers. Then I discovered these new (to me) replacement pads, and decided to try them. They are 3" diameter supra-aural/on-the-ear pads with a thin perforated-leather material cover over an inner foam body. They are very lightweight, flexible and acoustically transparent. Most importantly, they attach snugly and securely around the ear-speakers. I had to finger-wrestle them into position but the pads seem very forgiving while being stretched. There are illustrated instructions for installation, but I did not find them helpful. After fitting the pads, I had to completely readjust the covered metal bridge piece that goes between the speakers until the pads set lightly and comfortably on my ears. These are not headphones to get up and dance with; they would fall off before you could hit your groove. The very thin leather material of the pads seemed dry and “sounded” dry to the touch. I decided to treat them lightly and carefully with my favorite leather care product, Lexol conditioner. A light application (just a drop or two of conditioner on a small piece of paper towel, a gentle wipe-on and removal, avoiding touching the yellow sponge) on the surface of the leather made it more supple and relaxed and lessened the “dry sound” on fingers and on ears.I had to work with these pads, but I am very happy with the results. I think they are a good value and if they hold together I shall remain happy to have them. Recommended for long-suffering Grado headphone users.

Fits SR225's
Fits my old pair of SR225's. Installation was pretty easy and it took about 5 minutes. They are pretty comfortable and not as scratchy as the original Grado pads. I installed the optional pleather covers that are supposed to enhance bass but I didn't really notice a difference. Decent choice for replacement pads at a good price.

It's okay
It's alright. It's changes the sound of the Grado's in my opinion and using it for a period of time, the foam seems to loose it's firmness making the gardo's sound differently. Went back the the original provided earpads.

A well-fitting replacement earpad for your cherished woodies.
While a good set of headphones will last you a lifetime, the ear pads must be replaced regularly. Foam decays and affects sound quality; ear pads can get grimy. Another advantage of changing ear pads is that you can dial in a preferred sound signature without modifying your cans. My Grade RS1s are pre-serial numbering, (Super Vintage S) and I'd destroy their collector value if I did any permanent mods.I've used the SOULWIT replacement cushions for other headphones, so I was confident that these would meet my two requirements: one, be neutral sounding, and two, be easy to install. The SOULWIT wins on both. I've found Grados to be more sensitive and reactive to different earpads, and these changes the Grado signature sound. Sound is subjective so that I won't dwell on this. However, the SOULWIT ear pads are less bright than the OEM ear pads, and the soundstage is slightly less forward. Is it better or worse sounding? That's not the issue. They sound different, and I like the less sharp sound the SOULWIT provides. You can buy and try these at less than the cost of an LP to see if you like the sound. If not, peel them off and try another. The SOULWITs come with a pleather skin that can be applied to the foam to increase Bass. It does slightly, but if you want more Bass, you should not wear Grados! :-)As a bonus, the SOULWITs are easy to install, and a step-by-step illustrated instruction sheet walks you through the process. The SOULWIT ear pads are not just a replacement but an upgrade in comfort. The OEM Grado foam earpads are affectionately nicknamed "Cheese graters" because the foam is quite coarse and scratchy. The SOULWIT ear pads use a much smoother foam that will not irritate your ears.In conclusion, the SOULWIT ear pads are a high-quality replacement and a budget-friendly option. They're well-built and affordable, making them a smart choice for those grungy ear pads you should have changed months ago! Yes, I'm talking to you! :-)
