The Janome Atelier 9 would be the closest thing to the 9000 today, as it's a combination machine. There are no combi machines below this model in the Janome range.

No, fully loaded and with WiFi, comes with a good range to start with. You can learn how to design your own with the free apps. And purchase individual designs as needed. Brilliant! One of the reasons I had it because no hidden extras!
