I purchase this all the time to mix with soil and a couple other things to make a super chunky soil. Plants love it.

Good quality, just very little in the bag, you may need to buy several to repot one orchid.

seems good, very fine cut up bark. 8 oz of bark is enough for one plant if you dont cut it with other mixes so beware before you get this thinking its a great value. You can get other packages of bark for similar prices but quarts instead of oz.

I like this orchid bark because the pieces are on the small side. I like to make my own houseplant potting mix and this is perfect-sized to add in. I had bought a different brand and found those pieces to be way too big and chunky for my purposes.

Very expensive for amount you get

I bought this a couple years ago to use as an orchid potting medium and it worked well. However, when I recently bought it again, the quality was not there. Specifically, it felt like I got the bottom of the barrel, so to speak, mostly tiny flakes and stems instead of uniform pieces of solid bark. It was not just less attractive, it wouldn't stay in my aerated orchid pot because the pieces were small enough to fall through the ventilation holes on the sides.
