Telesonic Black Quartz Wall Clock w/Quiet Sweep Second Hand

If you're looking for a clock that runs completely silent, this is it.The second hand sweeps (not clicks) and even in the dead silence of the night, you don't hear a thing.The frame is black plastic (not real shiny though, so it doesn't look flimsy or cheap), and the face is a warm white which helps to lessen the "institutional" feel.It was more important to me that it be silent, rather than be a pretty decorative piece, so the fact that it is visually boring and basic was unimportant. It reminds me of the clocks that are in school classrooms, so if this look it too "institutional" for you, then look elsewhere.We are using it on a wall between the master bedroom and the master bath - - - no one sees it but us, so it was of less importance that it be decorative, and more important that it be functional and silent.Update as of 2018 - - We've purchased a second one of these to hang outside on our back patio. Although it is outdoors, it doesn't get direct exposure to the elements, as it's hanging under an overhang from the 6ft deep deck on the floor above. It doesn't get wet when it rains, nor is it exposed to direct sunlight. We're also in Northern CA, so the temps are moderate and never go above 100 or drop to freezing.That being said, the clock keeps accurate time and functions as well outdoors as it does indoors.

This is truly a silent clock, and I like the simplicity of its look. I was so happy with the first one I bought that I got a second one for another room. Both clocks arrived quickly, in boxes that used a minimum of packaging and yet protected the clocks very well. And they were so odor-free that I was able to put them on the wall immediately without having to air them out as I usually do with new products. Excellent!

I've had it about a week now. It hangs in the bathroom where it is exposed to steam and high humidity, but so far it is working perfectly. Keeps good time. Sweep second hand is just that, it SWEEPS around the dial, smoothly and quietly,no "tick-tick-tick," no stop and start motion, just like those clocks we all learned to hate in school, as we watched them spend three weeks ticking off the last five minutes before lunch. :) Did I mention the clock is dead quiet? It is.So far, so good.Oh, Amazon Prime is worth the cost just for the delivery service alone. Promised to me in two days. Got it in two days. No extra cost.

This is my second Telesonic. Oddly, they are both still running. The next time one of my cheap clocks dies, which should be any day now, I will buy a third.The funny decal on the front peels off to become a nice bumper sticker for your Hoover upright.

Love this clock, cannot stand to hear a clock tick and this thing makes zero noise. Won't go back to another clock with a second hand moving. Great purchase

When I got it as a Christmas present it had a problem right out of the box. There was a spot in the second hand's rotation where it paused and then continued, but it looked cool, and that got better after the first few days so I decided to keep it, because it is a hassle to send stuff back and it was keeping good time. After a month it ran smoothly. By April it made this loud grinding noise and I removed the battery because it was annoying. I am not sending it back because too much time has expired. I will not but one of their products again. Amazon should quit selling this piece of junk.

I purchased this clock in January 2015 and I have been so pleased with this purchase. The clock I had previously was very loud and it would keep me up at night with the loud ticking sound it made. This clock is very simple and most importantly - quiet. I would buy this again.

Just like all the other reviews--it is SILENT! It is decent quality and looks good on the wall of my fitness room. I love having the second hand.
