We have a parrot that is kept on the patio - I am allergic so he cant be in the house. His dropped food and waste attracts tree rats at night. Poison is not an option and no matter how often his area was cleaned the problem persisted. I received the pestzilla 5 days ago - set it on ultrasonic plus flashing light -WOW!!!! LOVE IT!! I put it out at dusk and remove it in the morning. I haven't seen any of the rats since we put it out. It is unobtrusive and doesn't seem to bother the small birds. I would definitely recommend this!!

Occasionally the wind seems to set it off, which can be confusing. The overall unit appears to work okay, not sure if there is an actual ultrasonic sound. We have it on the back porch to keep a neighborhood cat from peeing on our back door. We’re on week 2 and after a cold spell, the cat is back and peed all over my door again despite the unit being on and active. The unit didn’t work to keep the pest away when on the flashing light and ultrasonic sound mode. The batteries were also hard to insert. Two stars for random sensitivity and battery challenge. Plus it hasn’t worked so far on keeping the cat away. we’re going to try leaving the “alarm” mode on—although since it goes off randomly, it could just be a nuisance. Wish us luck!

I love that this can be plugged in. My others are battery only, and go through batteries more than I like. I actually use mine Indoors, as I have a cat that all of a sudden wants to urinate in a corner of the dining room instead of in her litter box in the bathroom. I put this in the middle of the room so she doesn't even get the chance to go to the corner. She does not like the sound or the lights. Yay! It has 3 different settings and I chose the most obnoxious.

I really wanted this to work.... It does NOT work in my garden. It was really difficult to install two 9 volt batteries in such a cramped area and always difficult to snap onto the 9-volt batteries... SO... installed in the garden, the different modes available are nice but confusing. The siren is so low I chuckled when it came on. The flashing LEDs are cute but again a chuckle as they flashed constantly with nothing in front of the unit. As I mentioned- Really wanted something to chase the pesky invaders from the garden... BUT this does do the trick for me. BUT it is good for a few loud chuckles and smiles as I shake my head.

The worst part of setting this up was installing batteries. The cover has wee little screws that require a tiny screwdriver. After that it is pretty straight forward.We got this because of a skunk that was hanging around. We haven’t noticed it since we placed this in the back yard. Hopefully it will also keep Mr Groundhog away when he wakes up.

I have had an unknown medium size animal entering my back yard at night and deficating in one area, possibly a racoon. My first thought was to buy a trail camera and identify the critter. After seeing your product for sale on Amazon I thought why identify it, just scare it away. I set up the Pestzilla one week ago and have not had any unwanted visitors. This thing really works!

After testing for a longer period, I had come back here and review it again. It was working at first, but it didn’t take long until the squirrels and birds learned how to ignore the ultrasonic sound and flashing lights. Unless the ultrasonic sound stopped working. Either way, the unit is not affective anymore.

I purchased this item as we discovered that we had mice in our crawl space. Conventional traps, etc. did not work. Thought we'd give it a try. We've been running the PestZilla continuously for 2 weeks now and it appears to be working. I did not give it 5 stars as I'm waiting to see how it works in the long term. So far, so good.
