PetTouchiD Tag
The PetTouchiD tags are great. I use them on 2 dogs and 1 cat in addition to having them microchipped and wearing a gps tracking system. What is nice about these QR code tags is that anyone with a smart phone can scan in the code and it brings them to a s website with you and your dog’s info. You get a text as soon as the code is scanned letting you know where your pet is. There are no monthly fees. If you do not have a smartphone, the tag info can be entered manually onto their website.The only negative thing that I have found is that you can’t update changes on their website if your pet loses there tag and you have to contact the company to change the info for you. I just went through it trying to change out a new tag because my Border Collie lost hers. I received an email acknowledging my contactbut it’s been over a week and I still haven’t heard back from them. It the meantime, my pooch lost the new tag! I think it may of broken off since a second name tag was on the same ring and is still attached.

it works and does everything it states, I've shown it to friends and all plan to get one, I had to figure out how my cat got out of his collar but with the tag I knew it was in the yard from the home page ping and found it where he was laying hanging from a branch/twig. highly recommend it to anyone with a pet, especially if they wander out the yard.

Tag isn't writable so you're tied to their service which is a deal breaker for me...
I was expecting to be able to write data to this that could be read by any NFC reader. Because it's not writable you're tied to this company's service and if they go belly up, you've essentially wasted your money. It's shame too because this seemed so promising. People don't like vendor lock-in, especially when it comes to their pets.
