NOT light filtering or for darkness - purely for privacy.
please follow all the directions! If you do as they suggest you will have an easily installed flawless look. They let in considerable amounts of light but do block in and out.

Make sure you check the size!
Looks great, but I didn’t pay attention to the size; make sure you do! My small kitchen window now has a line through it because I ordered the smallest size. This stuff is really pretty tho!

A stylish way to let in sunlight and provide some privacy
These look really sharp! The design is perfect for a MCM home with transom windows. They also do an excellent job of letting plenty of light through while still providing full privacy — even at night when all of the lights are on and even when you peer inside through the clear designs. Although they are clear, the view is still somewhat distorted.

Excellent Results
It was one of the most affordable of these and yet it works as advertised so I can't imagine the same thing from competitor would be more effective. If you apply it diligently, I think this thing works...perfectly. It's just like good car window tint - if you've seen those that work really well, that can make it easier to believe this can work really well. The overall effect of the film is basically full frost, as from the 'clear' lines one can't gather any images from some reasonable distance. The film itself you should handle relatively gently as to not create wrinkles; keep it debris-free throughout the process. I cut almost to exactly size of glass, couple of mm short on each side, then applied w/hand sized squeegees and dish soap water. It will cling to water and allow you to move it through the mms that you should leave. If you've got a small bubble here or there, it will disappear over few days and the film will cling onto window so well that it gives full appearance of actual glass of such look. This is highly recommended.

Lasted only 2 months on my windows
Finished product on the windows looked good immediately after. I had doubts how secure the “spray water and place on window” method would work to hold to the glass. Held ok, but only at first— 2 months later with sun beating on the glass the corners have begun to curl- will have to purchase something else & tackle the project all over again.Disappointing.
