I am impressed. This thing looks amazing!
Lots of fun with the kids. I did find out it is a bit cheaper to buy this on the actual PennyPortrait com website (and they give you an old historic steel penny. That would have been cool to have!). That being said, I couldn’t be happier with the way ours turned out. The trick is to sort your pennies ahead of time. My boys are super proud of this and want to take it to school to show their teachers. I’m sure it will be hanging proudly on our wall for years to come. A real conversation starter.

A MUST BUY!!
I tried to order this product a year ago for a friend's birthday, and it went out of stock before I could get it delivered. I was so disappointed! Of course, when I saw it in stock again, I immediately bought it. I love it! The poster shows where to place the pennies, but you have to gather pennies of 4 different shades/ages. That is half the fun! You can work on it as you get the pennies or wait to glue them all on the poster after you collect all of them. Once we finished, we put the poster in a frame to hold the pennies in place. It creates such a beautiful piece of art.

The 4 shades has to be exact with each shade.
I'm a Lincoln cent fan. I was going for the 4 shade portrait. From what I learned each of the 4 shades have to be the exact shade. My portrait had many shades.. didn't work out as planned. I think this would look awesome if I spray painted the 4 different shades on the Lincoln cent

Nice break from politics
This is a really cool project. Keep busy during winter or evenings going through your coin jar. Puzzle lover, coin collector, crafter, young and old alike. Sent one to my sister in another state to do with her grandkids and our mom, while I have one out to work on here. The material is good quality and can be framed after completion. Now, time for the creator figure out a way to do nickles and dimes even though the color is less varied. 5 star gift.

Quality product and idea great!. I will certainly get another one
Only issue I had was completely my fault! Likely will purchase another one because of my own mistakes. But a lot of fun and a great idea and product! Hope to get another one soon. But follow the instructions and be careful!

Dr krafty epoxy
My finished portrait on wood kept loosing pennies. The epoxy solved that problem. Used liver of sulpher on some pennies. Cleaned my slightly used pennies with salt/vinegar solution. I did not touch the well used pennies and they look great under epoxy.

An awesome group activity!
A year ago a local history group took on the Lincoln Penny Portrait as a group activity. Members collected pennies and later met to complete the project. Thirteen women worked two hours - first to sort the pennies previously gathered into four distinct colors and then began assembling "Lincoln". Overall the women had a great time of work and fellowship. I highly recommend this poster project to other groups, families or individuals. Our completed (and now framed) Lincoln Penny Portrait was recently delivered to a historical museum in Springfield, IL. A fitting setting for Lincoln.

Wow this thing looks awesome. The penny's have almost a holographic effect that respond to both the light level in the room and the angle of the viewer.Get yourself a helper, a pile of pennies and a bottle of wine and you're good to go!
