I had a Neewer Shoulder mount + Follow focus, but needed to raise my camera enough to feed in external connections and also needed some form of quick release to make lens changes, etc. -> I'm not using a cage atm as I'm designing one with some custom electronics included.I've used tripods with Quick Release before and never felt they were all that secure. However this Quick Release unit is in a different class. It looks, feels and IS solidly made.Once you get the hang of it, clicking the camera into the base is fast and easy. It feels secure. The "Lock" slider [always use it though] locks well while still allowing you a little wriggle-room to adjust the camera/follow-focus contact by using the "release" mechanism, without it actually releasing.When you "unlock" it the quick-release mechanism works well.If you need a Quick-Release of this shape (box) then I can't fault it!

The media could not be loaded.  . Highly recommended. I use PD plate, and PD plate is about 0,5mm bigger then pocket of qr of NEEWER, (Maybe only me had bigger ones) basically I was sand it around a little edge and now is sit so so well.Now my camera is finally safety 🙏😍

I got the PD Capture Clip and what you don’t want to be doing if you have one of those is unscrewing the plate from the bottom of your camera every time you want to attach the camera to a Tripod etc.Having looked around and realising that not Arca Swiss connectors (what the PD plate is) are not compatible with one another, this one is so I got this.And yes, it works fine. The connector socket which the plate (you get a plate as well) goes into looks more complex than what it is. It is one piece of metal only, with one lever only (looks like there’s more levers or locks, there isn’t).The plate has both a slider connector element and a standard screw connector element on the bottom. The slider element is basically two grooves which I assume slide and lock into some tripod heads converting them to the PD Arca connector. However this slider groove section would not fit my Amazon Basic tripod head. No worries as it came with a plastic plate I normally screw into the underside of my camera, and this socket simply screws into that.Also it just screws on top of my Sony grip/ controller/ mini tripod, as per the photo.I will have to see if my little gimbal will work with it on also.The PD plate then just clicks into this socket. The spring loaded single lever moves across the front of the socket, bringing down a locking tooth on the back, locking the PD plate into position. You release the PD plate by sliding the silver spring loaded lever back to its open position, where it locks in place, and brings back the locking tooth, allowing you to simply remove the camera on the plate. Again, to lock it in place, just put it back in the socket, which caused the silver spring loaded sliding lever to lock it again.It is that simple, you just move the lever back to open it. There’s no other buttons or levers or controls.After testing it and seeing it works great, just ordered another so I can have one permanently on my Sony grip and one on my tripod.Note also the plate that comes with it, which is now spare, also works with the PD Capture Clip 3.

Absolutely love it. Such a well build and smooth plate. Works perfectly Peak Design PL-S-3 Standard Plate. Now just need to test it over time. Love the way it has an extra lock just incase something catches the quick release.

The media could not be loaded.  Finally I have a tripod mount that I can use my Peak Design plate with, and can trust that it's secure with no messing about with tightening screws.This is a metal, solid, reassuringly heavy-ish unit that leaves you confident once you hear that 'clack' that your camera is not going anywhere unless you want it to.

If this was to be a one-word review, I would choose the word 'Brilliant!'This handy quick-release Arca-type release plate kit solves a problem that has plagued me!I like to visit the local Wildlife Reserve and hang out in the various bird hides that have been set up around the marshes. It's far enough away that I use an e-bike to get there and the distances between the hides are such that I use the bike between hides as well.To minimize equipment, I tend to leave the tripod at home and just use a ground pod with a Gimbal Head attached. This setup fits nicely on the shelf under the observation windows. My long lenses need that kind of platform ideally, especially when I'm sat in a hide for hours on end.The problem is, that the ground-pod (which I made myself) and the gimbal head are too cumbersome when attached for easy transportation on the bike along with the rest of the gear. So I detach them and put them in the panniers when biking. The ground pod uses a standard 3/8 screw and it is usually a bit awkward to catch the thread on the gimbal head due to the circumference of the ground pod. I do worry I'll cross-thread the gimbal head one day, which would be expensive and very annoying.I would have gotten around to changing things up a bit, but the arrival of this NEEWER Arca Type Quick Release Plate Kit pre-empted my doing anything about the problem. The kit arrived yesterday, and I'm writing the review today! I am that pleased!This system is awesome. It works like a charm! The Gimbal head now just clicks onto the Ground Pod and is immediately secure. Being an Arca-type system, the Gimbal Head can still attach to my tripod. No more dramas with the screw thread. Hoorah! (There should be three of those Hoorahs!).I really like this! It's wonderful. There have been times when I didn't bother shifting location to the next bird hide just because of the Ground Pod - Gimbal Head attachment - detachment thing. It irritated me that much!Five very full stars from me!

This product works just as I hoped. Easy to install and holds the camera securely.

I use the Peak Design tripod and Capture Clip when backpacking, so I have PD plates on both of my cameras. I was looking for a quick release base that I could put on my Weebil-S gimbal and continue to use my PD plates with it. I'd bought another Quick Release set by Ulanzi that advertised itself as arca-type compatible, but the base didn't work with the PD plate. This Neewer one does.The photo shows my camera with a Peak Design plate in the Neewer quick release base. 👍The lock and unlock system operates a bit differently than I'm accustomed to, but it works, is very easy to use, and feels very solidly made.This Neewer base stays on my Weebil-S gimbal now, and I can quickly remove and replace my camera without needing to re-balance it every time. Saves a ton of time.

Vorweg. Das Teil ist recht massiv, bzw. schwer. Nicht zu schwer, aber beachtenswert.Die Kameraplatte ist quadratisch und passt zu Peakdesign, bzw. Arca Swiss. Alle Peakdesignfunktionen werden unterstützt. (Verriegelung)Die Platte (mit Kamera dran) wird in den Halter eingeklippt und rastet fest ein. Zusätzlich kann das öffnen der Verbindung mit einer Sicherung unterbunden werden.Also schneller und sicherer kann man seine Kamera kaum auf einem Stativ befestigen.Die Besfestigungsplatte kann entweder in einen Arca Swiss Stativhalter eingeklemmt werden oder direkt auf das Stativ geschraubt werden.
