The media could not be loaded. Says unlocked but I can't connect a sim to it. It was supposed to be for my son, amd has just been a pain on my ass and so far he still has no phone

Setting this phone up can be a pain at first, but that's mostly to do with the newer Android 13 it seems, so many new convoluted and complicated options and functions!But the phone itself isn't bad, just a little slow maybe, oh also I think the worse thing is the speaker volumes for both ear and speakerphone, they really should be a little louder.Battery life is pretty good. Screen looks pretty nice and bright enough. When you first set it up I'd advise that you go over practically everything in the menu or that pops up and study it, then set and adjust accordingly. It'll prevent a lot of unwanted surprises in the future if you do that from the start.The phone itself is OK for the price, it's the operating system that is getting exponentially more complicated due to technology evolving, regulations trying to keep up, and Google ever trying to attract more advertisers that is causing the headaches!

So I've been playing around with this phone for a few days now and using it as my daily driver, so I now feel comfortable giving my review on this device. Overall, I would say that the phone is a decent basic phone - but that's all it is. Basic. Your normal features like calling, texting, and internet do very well. The back camera is only 13MP but takes somewhat decent photos, but the front camera leaves more to be desired at only 5MP. The storage is only 32GB, but I found that to be quite easily expandable by popping my 128GB SD card into the slot. The phone is upgraded to Android 13, so that in itself is a pleasant surprise, but here is where the drawbacks begin. This phone is slow, and by slow, I mean PAINFULLY slow at times. When it works, it works great. When it lags? It's like waiting on dialup back in the olden days. It also does this annoying thing where when you're opening an app it will say that the app is not responsive even if it's working totally fine, and it will FORCE you to stop the app even when you repetitively try to exit out of the error. It will remain my daily driver for a while to come, and I can only hope that this company fixes the software bugs in a future update.

Really great phone for the price, good battery life, nice clear screen, all the feature you need for a fraction of the price of a known brand phone. Its slow to load initially, but after that no issues with performance. I added an extra memory card, and it is now is perfect for my phone-phobic husband, without loads of pre-loaded apps that he wouldn't use cluttering up the screen.
