Masonry: The DIY Guide to Working with Concrete, Brick, Block, and Stone (Fox Chapel Publishing)

Rock, Rock, Concrete!
I am not a mason. But I love great stone work and concrete work. This is a very informative and method instruction book. Concrete is easy to understand the process. I can make a check list and complete a project well. I produce a journeyman mason result. I am very much a self taught DIY guy. This book informs, explains and instructs well enough for me to produce a quality result. I think many interested parties could. If you are inept host a patio party. Get those with some skills to help and feed them. Then have a party on the patio or whatever. Take pics and post them. Make a memory and... ENJOY!

Good book
The book is very informative. I do wish they had gone into more detail on the different mortar mixes and applications

Not impressed.
Lots of pictures and illustrations but weak on details. Over-simplified and vague in many areas. Really expected better.
