By Far THE BEST Book On Selling For Fitness Professionals
I found this book by chance. I was listening to a podcast and the author, Ryan McKenzie, was the guest. I'm glad I took the time to listen to the podcast because I was immediately sold on the book. I ordered it that day. Usually I try to talk myself out of impulse purchases, but the way he described the information in the book and his take on the selling process was compelling, so I went for it. It is by far the best purchase I have made when it comes to learning how to have a better approach to the sales process. His approach is simplistic yet so thorough. The activities at the end of each chapter are crucial to helping you delve deeper and get beyond the surface. I recommend this book to ANYONE who is in this business or in sales period for that matter. The information is transferable to many markets. The one critique I do have to make is there a some grammatical errors sprinkled throughout, but you have to remember you're buying the book for the knowledge, not a English lesson.

Ryan McKenzie Hits It Out of the Park... This book is well worth reading.
Ryan does a great job of telling his own personal story and is honest about his beginning. He describes his failing and then learning through a systematic approach of mentoring and coaching how to succeed in "Sales!" I especially loved his honesty and description of the perfect methodology to sales is the D.O.C.T.O.R. approach. This is written especially for the fitness professional and redefines an attitude towards sales and adeptly teaches the difference between Freddy Faker, Timmy Taker and the Rainmaker. Ryan gives scenarios for all 3 and tips on how to help transform your career into the success he has seen like in his own life.Having trained over 100+ top salespeople in marketing and sales Ryan McKenzie utilizes training techniques and systems that are both innovative and fun.

And if there is one thing I hear more than anything else it's that trainers hate selling. To which I say
I've spent the last 17 years in the fitness industry, both as multi-unit fitness owner, as well as one of the industries, top copywriters, marketing strategists, and consultants. And if there is one thing I hear more than anything else it's that trainers hate selling. To which I say, "What a shame! Nothing good happens without a sale!"That's why this book is so needed and valuable. It has just jumped to the top of my list of books for trainers to read. It's going to help get your head right about selling, and it's going to make you more money. Go ahead and order it, but more importantly, put it to use.

Easy to follow book from a real guy who cares ...
Easy to follow book from a real guy who cares about people. Definitely has some ideas inside that'll get you thinking am I being the Faker, Taker or Rainmaker. No tricks, no gimmicks, no slick lines. His Six steps are D.O.C.T.O.R The first three steps are worth the price alone, so sales isn't just static go through the motions or high pressure. The first three are 1) Do they know I care. 2) Ouch where's the pain. 3) Complaining or Committed.

Learning is money!
We bought for our niece who owns a cycling/fitness studio. The author, Ryan, trained my wife and then me for six years; hence, we wanted the niece to read his wise assessments.

Very good process of selling
I like the author's process of prescribing versus selling, which gives more authority and authenticity to how fitness professionals should conduct themselves with potential clients

Every Fitness Professional MUST read this book!
Ryan does an excellent job of breaking down the sales process and creating a system that is incredibly easy to follow. The chapter on if you are a taker, faker, or rainmaker is worth the price of the book alone! I highly recommend I hate selling for the fitness professional!

Change Your Attitude to Selling and Promotion
I picked up this book as soon as I saw the title. I absolutely hate selling too. Any tips on selling are always welcome!I found so much in this book that was helpful. What really gave me an aha moment, was when the author said, “The less you make it about serving others, the less service you will be able to provide.”The strange thing was, I already knew this. I use it to prevent nervousness when speaking on video all the time. I had just never applied it to selling. Thank you, Mr McKenzie!

Highly recommended!
Real eye opener. I didn't even consider challenging or even looking at my approach in the way it's suggested in this book. I found it very helpful.
