Vermont Farm Table French Taper Rolling Pin - Maple

The wood in this rolling pin is beautiful. It is extra long for maneuverability. For me, rolling pins without handles are so much better. You can control the steady pressure. I gave this as a shower gift to my granddaughter. Beautiful!

After using what I thought was a great rolling pin made of marble, I recently purchased this french taper pin after trying my hand at making croissant. The shape makes every difference in the world. It really is the best rolling pin I've ever used.

I just used this for the first time (I received it about a month ago) and I have to say I just love it! I made vegan naan bread (fry bread) and it worked great! I can’t wait to do more with this- I have a recipe for steamed dumplings that I want to try to make. So I guess with the taper it’s supposed to allow you to roll the dough thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges. I don’t actually know why this would work differently than a regular rolling pin with handles. Maybe I should take a pastry class or something to find out. But as far as handling this it was very comfortable and natural. And it’s quite beautiful to have in the kitchen.

Wow! This is really nice rolling pin! I was very excited to recieved it and more so to try it. I owned about 4 rolling pins, this one tops them them all. It is different than those you buy at walmart. This one rolls the dough very nicely and smoothly. To be honest, I have second thought purchasing it because of the price. But I went ahead and purchased it anyway. Oh my! I'm so glad I did. This will replace the ones I have right now. This is the best rolling pin ever. I would advised anyone to buy this and see it for themselves. I can guarantee you will loved it. Everything about his rolling pin is great! The length, thickness of the wood and the smoothness of the wood. I apply olive oil after I washed it. Guys do yourself a favor, buy it.

This rolling pin is beautiful! It is a pleasure to look at and to use. I never like rolling pins where the center part spins. Didn't know about this style till my friend mentioned it recently. I AM HOOKED. And I am glad I purchased one that had tapered ends. I know there are models that look like thick wooden dowels with even diameter the entire length, but I am glad I chose this one. The gradual taper allows nice control and manipulation of the dough, when rolling it out. Not sure the dowel models would give the same control. Also, the "handles" on this pin feel nice in the hands when using. I don't think the blunt ends of the dowel models would be as comfortable to use.The expected deliver date was very very off, but in a good way. The site said it would take a month to arrive. But it showed up within a few days. They had sent it promptly and used 2-day shipping!! Not sure why the shipping arrival estimate is so wrong on the product details page, but I am glad it was!

Always wanted one of these and finally have one! I like the way it rolls...I can roll large pieces which is very handy and it is also very lightweight too!
