Nice Stencil
This is a very nice stencil. It's sturdy, easy to use and the pattern is beautiful. I've gotten a lot of positive comments since updating the floor in the laundry room. I bought two of the same stencils based on many of the reviewer recommendations, but it really wasn't necessary because it was easy to piece together the pattern even after cutting the stencil to fit the partial tiles. The only problem I ran into was the size of the stencil. My tiles are supposed to be 12" X 12" (per the box) but it turns out that they're actually about 11.7" around, which made it tricky to line up the corners. The company will make the stencils any size if you order directly from them and I'd really recommend that you do that. That part was my fault because I knew about the size discrepancy but decided to order the stock size anyway. If I decide to paint another room I'll definitely special order for size to speed along the painting process.

Do it
Really great stencil. I bought spray adhesive but that almost ruined the stencil. It worked for the first few passes then got gunked up. So i scrubbed it off and it worked much better without. I started with a roller but got paint bleed. Wound up using an extra beauty blender and a few hours later i was done. Finished off with masonry sealer.

Great!
My fireplace came out great! Tip; only use a very small amount of paint on a small brush to avoid bleeding and wipe the stencil each time.

LOVE!!!
I had a really boring hallway and this stencil helped me make it beautiful! I used an eggshell Behr Paint in the color Swiss Coffee for the walls and Behr Chalk paint in color Classic Noir for the stencil. I used a 4in foam roller to paint the design. You have to use VERY LITTLE paint to avoid bleeding. When it did bleed, I used a small brush and used the Swiss Coffee color to correct. It worked very well. I did all the areas that I could cover with the whole stencil. Towards the end, I had to cut the stencil to get the corners and other little areas and used both a foam roller and a stencil brush for this part.

Very pretty, but…
I used this tile on my stairs and upper landing that I refurbished. The finished product is fine, though I am calling it “rustic”, meaning I got frustrated with how much this was bleeding and gave up and decided it was a “look”. I read all the other reviews, and I tried 2 different foam rollers, very little paint, etc etc…to get the stencil dark enough, the paint always bled. Seriously thought I might lose my mind. I’m guessing an airbrush might have worked? Also, a HUGE time consuming pain to wash and then wait to completely dry between uses, even with two tiles. And if you don’t wash…paint builds up and bleeding gets worse.Again, I’m happy with my outcome, but that’s because I lowered my expectations.
