Excellent for cleaning domestic windows for the money
I have seen the results of pure water pole fed systems and also have friends who own and use these systems commercially, but unfortunately they don't have business rounds in the area that I live in........ and I don't really like paying £35 a month for other pure water window cleaners. The results of pure water systems are excellent, but even if you construct your own small pure water system (40 ltr wheeled tank £50, 4lt/min water pump £60, hose £50, 12v rechargeable battery £60 and the purchase of pure water for your mini system at £0.04p/litrel) you have to invest quite a bit of money. So, I thought I would take a gamble on this tap water fed pole brush and see what the results were like with hard water and washing up liquid. They were great, not perfect, and not as spotless as a pure system, but good enough to look very clean and have white clean frames.I have only used the pole brush once to do my whole house (13 large 1st and ground floor windows, exterior doors and double garage door) and it only took 35 mins from start to finish. This is in comparison to me climbing a ladder and using cloths, squeegee and bucket, which takes me around 3 hrs from start to finish (putting all the ladders and equipment back)! The pole is quite heavy, but not enough to bother me over 35 mins. Having only used it once, I can't comment on its longevity, but its heaviness inferred a good sturdiness.Others have commented that the pole is quite whippy, but I didn't find that the slight flex hampered me to a degree where I would mark it down. However, I didn't need to extend the last small diameter section to reach the 1st floor, which might have been more whippy.I'm not sure whether the soap dispenser is worth having, as it didn't seem to regulate the concentrate that well..... the concentrate all seemed to disappear on the first few windows. However, my cleaning solution was a very low viscosity, so a thicker solution may be more regulated. To get around this I just lent out of 1st floor windows from the inside and splashed a bit of cleaning solution on each window and then scrubbed it using the pole brush. In all, using it was a hell of a lot less effort and time consuming than cleaning exterior windows and frames by a more traditional ladder and bucket. The results were good enough that my wife thought I that I had got window cleaners to do the windows and frames. However, when you start to scrutinise the windows you can see the odd drip that's been caused by hard water drying on the window...... I can live with that, as I don't scrutinise my windows on a daily basis and just like them to look clean and be able to see through them unhindered! If your someone that scrutinises your windows for every tiny imperfection, and wouldn't miss £35 per month, then I would get a window cleaner in. If you're not and absolute perfectionist and don't mind 30- 40 mins of manual labour once a month, then this pole brush could save you a huge amount of money (in my case over £400 a year) in keeping your windows clean.

Beware of falling water
Personally, I could have done with this pole-cleaner system being another 6-10 inches longer, but as mentioned by others, it is already quite heavy (but sturdy). My main problem is it does leak water quite a bit and changing the length gushes even more water out at the brush! However, it does the job well and, as long as you don't have too many windows to clean in one go, it is relatively easy to use. The switches that control water flow are very useful and the Hoselock attachments make it easy to use with most hosepipes. The brush is soft and quite big, so useful for cleaning the windows, but the fixed angle makes cleaning the sills a bit tricky.I recommend this to anyone who needs to reach high windows (outside), but make sure it is long enough for your needs.

I like it, very useful
As some of the reviews mentioned, it's very heavy when extended to its full length, which was expected. However, I find it much easier to handle after a number of uses. It cleans the windows very well. The soap container and the control knobs are very useful. I will recommend this product - for a strong person to handle.

You have to be strong.
I've never written a negative review and I did not want to on this one, and here's why. It's a lovely peice of equipment and it cleans Windows but only if you are quite strong it's heavy and that's before you put the water in it. You have to be careful as the top part is put to quite a strain when it's out at full length I didn't find it easy to work the water and detergent buttons, if your not careful a lot of water come out. If you look at what the professional use the whole unit is built for lightness with small tubes going from tap to outlet with just enough water comming out of the brush. This professional outfit will cost you a fortune and will not be economical for just one house. So that said the first one is well made and if used carefully will last, but you will have to have strong arms to do the top windows. I hope in future they might bring out a small feed tube that would take some of the weight off, tubes full of water plus a full size hose pipe to pull around is a bit much for me being 73, I will just use it on my eight top Windows and use my old window cleaning pole and squeegee. This is a nicely made peice of equipment and worth the troubles of not using a ladder.

Great for domestic use
I live in a soft water area and the results are great. Used a little window cleaner fluid in soap dispenser. Some smears, but very acceptable. 20+ windows, ground and 1st floor, done in about an hour. I don't need to spend £30 a month now.The cons:You do need some strength, when extended and full of water it's heavy and awkward to move. Keep it upright. It does get a little flexible at full extension, but it's manageable.I've only used it once, but I can already see the techniques needed to make it quicker.

Too heavy at full stretch
Very heavy when at full stretch. Need a wet suit to use it.

Very very heavy to use
To be honest this product does a good job.The detergent reservoir and simple switches for water and detergent are easy to use.The issue is that when the pole fills with water it becomes extremely heavy and cumbersome in use.

Never mind the windows, it's great for my SUV
I've found the features of this item to be consistent with other users - it is well made and designed but by its very nature is a bit unwieldy when fully extended due to the weight of water contained in the pole when fully extended. But it does the job it is designed for very well. But there is an unexpected bonus - it is a really handy tool to clean your car, especially a large SUV. I had to get the steps out to reach my roof with a bucket and sponge but that is all a thing of past now as this pole easily reaches and, coupled with the soap dispenser, means sponges and buckets are a thing of the past!
