Great buy!
Is quite loud but my baby will sleep through it, just like loud white noise! Cools the room down really quickly and so glad I got it ready for the warm weather to keep my babys temperature down! Is expensive but worth it!

Good but very noisy
Gives cool air but it's so much noisier than any my friends have which were cheaper.

Good (if noisy) AC.
This model has cooling mode, fan mode and dehumidifier mode all of which can be accessed via the control panel on top or with the included remote control. The remote control, like the unit itself, is pretty ugly, but perfectly functional. I got it for the recent heat wave and wouldn't be without it now. I think it's added about £10 to my monthly bill in use. Quite a lot, but I'll only really need it in the height of summer.Pros:Does it's job very well indeed.Cools down to 17c. Thermostat cut off when room hits desired temp.Has a timer that shuts the unit off after selected time.Comes with venting pipe and a two piece window attachment (not suitable for all windows - will fit some sash windows well)Dehumidifier removes about a cup of water from the air in about an hour on a British July day.Cons:The unit is quite large and bulky looking. It also looks a bit cheap.Noisy - It is a 'put up with'-able noise. Kind of like having a powerful fridge or freezer (which is essentially what it is) in your living room.No hose included for the dehumidifier - on dehumidifier mode the unit can suck pints of water out of the air if left overnight, but its internal storage tank is tiny.

First home Air Conditioner i've ever had
I've always used fans for cooling throughout my life, besides from walking into stores that use far better ones. While I can't speak to the life of the unit as I've had it for less than 8 hours so far (and reliability over time is most important for the money I spent), proper AC is just significantly better in every respect. My apartment seems to default to several degrees hotter than the outside at least up till it hit 31°c here in England this year where they even out. So even after the heatwave ended and weather reports said 24°c outside, my home was still 30°c. This was able to take it from 31°c to 26°c in a little under 2 hours on medium fan setting. There are 2 problems I have with this, 1 is solvable but apparently not recommended.1. is the hose is too short and the manual says to not use an extension or it could damage the unit, but I think I should do it anyway (I believe it's 1.5m)2. is I think the temperature sensor is inaccurate, because my external thermostat at the moment says 25°c, the AC unit says 28-29. This makes it difficult to pinpoint just what temp I want it to work towards, but doable. Also it will only list its target temperature until you turn it off(standby mode)Other considerations that may matter to you; It came with no drainage hose or batteries for the remote. Although the manual doesn't say anything about included batteries, it is supposed to include the drain pipe. I wasn't planning on using them so it's no problem for me.

Does the job
I’ve a 35sq office and have this vented out and also the water hose draining outside. It keeps my office really cool BUT....It won’t heat in winter (my fault I should ave checked)It won’t dehumidify if below 13c so in winter it’s a bit difficult for my office.Overall I’m happy but wish I’d got one that also heated. Also not that to drain the unit will need to be approximately 4 extra inches of ground to allow gravity to drain.

Unit failed to work after 1 Year, no support response.
I got this unit roughly a year ago from when I wrote this review, and before this point the product was working as intended. It was fairly loud when not in sleep mode, which was fine for me as I mostly wore a headset but the setup for the tube and window stand was pretty awkward as I had outward opening windows. The main issue for me is that after 1 year of use, the unit refused to turn on and I have had trouble contacting support as the phone line hangs up after 10 minutes of waiting. I tried googling the company but 0 results appear making me think it has gone bankrupt (This is AMCOR UK not US).

(bit like when you have a new fridge freezer delivered)
For the last 10 years I have been threatening to buy a portable air-con unit and my boyfriend has always poured cold water on the idea. (Sorry). So after our lounge got to 32 centigrade, in July this year (again!), I thought enough is enough. We live on the first floor and have cats, so opening the windows wide isn't an option.I ordered this on a Sunday morning and it was delivered the next day! I then had to wait 3-4 hours for the unit to stabilise, (bit like when you have a new fridge freezer delivered). I have to say those 3 hours were torture. But OMG, worth the wait!!Came home from work the next day to find boyfriend (who works nights, so wasn't there to appreciate it the evening before), utterly transformed in his opinion, having switched it on a couple of hours earlier, it was like walking into a fridge. Even he had to admit it was brilliant. If you are considering buying one, buy this, it's awesome. It's small and slim, but really powerful, and having the hose out of the window really doesn't make a deal of difference to the cooling ability, although I did purchase a window sleeve at a later date.Thank you Amcor, best thing I've bought for the house in years!!

Don’t bother
It just doesn’t cool properly. We bought in July in heatwave and it wasn’t good at cooling and noisy but we thought it was just too hot . However this bank holiday weekend it was hot outside and again it didn’t really make much difference to the room in my view not worth it for size and money.
