My wife likes them so far
Got these for my wife as an Xmas present. She has notoriously cold hands (Raynaud’s syndrome.) We then went for a post-Xmas ski trip in VT where it was pretty darn cold for the first few days (~10 degrees in the morning). At setting 1, she didn’t feel any warmth but her fingers didn’t get cold or go numb. At some point, turned them up to 2, and said that her fingers were nice and toasty. Didn’t even have to try setting 3. Batteries ended up dying in the afternoon, but we were done by that point anyway. And she also said that, even without the heat, the gloves were nice, warm and comfortable. Next few days were similar to except that it was a bit warmer, and she didn’t have to turn them up.She handles the cold really poorly. These may be a game changer for her. Given the cost, really hope that they last for a while.

I definitely recommend these mitts.
I ski in December every year and no matter the temperature, my fingers and thumbs get cold. My husband and I decided to make an investment (which was quite substantial) in these mitts and we are very happy so far. It was well below zero while we were skiing and these mitts kept our fingers warm. The charging is easy to do and the gloves are very comfortable. If they were less expensive, it would be even better but I still think that they are worth the investment because they enabled me to ski the whole day without getting uncomfortable. Much better than the hand warmers that you insert inside your gloves.

Great for people with bad hand circulation
I have fought with keeping my hands warm and pain free skiing for years and should have gotten electric mittens sooner. Even in only moderately cold weather conditions my hands would go numb and feel like they were being smashed with a hammer. These mittens do the trick. I can make it through a full day of skiing on a charge using variable heat settings as needed. Even without the heater, these mittens are very well insulated and warm. Using these in wet PNW ski conditions they stayed dry inside. My one complaint is the cuffs on these with the battery packs are HUGE. it's a monumental struggle to get my shell sleeves over the cuffs.

Very nice mittens
The construction was excellent. Felt very nice wearing them. For me, the drawback was where it was heating my hand. A bit around my thumb & hand and my finger tips. The task I needed them for would not work as I would have liked. With bad circulation in my hands, like most of us looking for heated gloves, placement of the heat is important. How I would be using them is key for me selecting gloves. For others? These are really good - appear durable for all sorts of winter activities. The inside is soft and without the heat on, these would keep anyone's hands warm. You are not going to have something like a ski pole slip out of your hand. Built well.Sizing worked well. Snug but not too tight/loose.We all know that until you stuff your hand inside the glove, nothing is a sure bet.

We like our Hestra gloves!
I have two teenage daughters whose hands get cold when skiing and they end up going in early. They would use the iron/chemical packets as best they could but with mixed results. After some searching and reading the various reviews (both good and bad) for several electrically heated hand mittens, I decided to go with the Hestra Power Heater Mitt. The girls used them for a week of skiing. Temps were in the morning 5 deg F to a high in the afternoon of 18 to 25 deg F. In the morning they would use level 2 (medium) heat setting (occasionally they had them on level 3 for a ride up the chair) and the afternoon would bump it down to level 1 (lowest). I asked everyday at various times what they thought. Both had warm hands everyday all day long. They never ran the battery out during the day on those two settings. We took an hour break at lunch and on a couple of days they plugged the mittens in and other days they forgot. The batteries seemed to last even without charging at lunch. We did give them a good charge every night. The mittens are made from real leather and well made. The few complaints they had were that the zipper which lets you easily get the mitten on your hand (it is also the zipper for the battery pouch) is hard to zip up once you have the mitten on your hand. They would always ask me to help zip them up. Also these mittens are like any other glove or mitten, it gets moist inside after several days of use. We would prop them open to dry out overnight. Before I purchased, I read negative reviews about the batteries only lasting 2.5 hours and not all day. In the instructions with the mittens it says that on the level 3 setting you can only expect the batteries to last 2.5 hours. We never tested the level 3 continuously so I can't review that part. But just know that if you need high heat all the time you will probably need to purchase extra battery packs and have them charged and in your pocket and ready at the 2.5 hour mark. I don't think this is a negative, just setting the expectation of battery life. These gloves are expensive and I know it is not an easy decision. But I am satisfied with the purchase and my daughters are very happy as well. I would buy these mittens again.
