Adhesive....
The pickup itself is excellent, does the job, but the temporary adhesive is unreliable - the bug falls off, can be knocked off easily. Have stopped using it and looking for alternatives. Generally though, it's very good value for money and I do like being able to use it on a variety of instruments.- it's quick to change over.

Also don't like the attachment options
I found this pickup way too sensitive for my level of playing. It picks up every tiny knock or twang from my baritone ukulele and has a higher tendency to feedback. Also don't like the attachment options, some yellow sticky pads, which don't hold very well, or a permanent adhesive. Prefer the cheap Cherub clip on for sound and convenience.

Good for acoustic instruments
A good little pickup that can be used on the outside of any acoustic instruments that resonate, i.e guitar ukulele etc. I use mine on my mandolin and it works very well. It is a quite microphone, so even with it turned up loud there is little fuzz, although you won't need it to loud as it has a high output level! The only slightly annoying thing about it, is that it used a pesky 2.5 mm jack instead of the usual 3.5mmm, which means if you don't use the supplied cable, you might have to get a convertor or two in order to use it with a standard 6.35mm jack cable.

Love my Bug
I was uncertain when making this purchase wondering it it could be so good at the price. I need not have worried. My main guitars are provided for but I needed to amplify a ukulele, a 12 string, a dulcimer and a resonator guitar and did not want to go to excessive cost or disruption to the instruments, a couple of which are old and fragile. I could not be more pleased with the bug. It is small but powerful. It took a bit of trial and error to find the 'sweet spot' for placement on the instruments and to avoid acoustic noise from left hand contact on the neck. That didn't take long and I am one happy customer. It was great when some of my mates laughed at it until they heard what it could do. I think it will be great for folk musicians who might have a variety of weird and wonderful instruments or just a multi-instrumentalist on a budget.
