Planred indoors to begin, then took outside. Very happy with all the blooms

I planted these seeds outside in the ground in full sun in the spring and a second batch indoors under a grow light and all that came up was weeds. Either these seeds never germinated in either place (which is what I think happened) or they aren’t strawflower seeds at all. I plan to try some more of these in my hydroponic garden just to start them and if that doesn’t work I might try a freeze cycle before planting as a last resort. Unfortunately I cannot recommend these at this time.

I tried growng strawflowers for many years with no success. I have always loved the papery magic of the blooms. These seeds germinated and grew beautiful strawflowers. I grew them in a container garden to keep the rabbits from eating the young plants. I will buy these seeds again and grow many more strawflowers next season. They are just lovely.

I’m doing a chaotic flower garden. A great fit

I winter sowed the seeds in a small pot & had great germination. Looking forward to transplanting them into my flower bed when the plants get larger. Hopefully they will continue to grow.

I was excited to plant strawflowers for the first time! I tried seeding them inside & outside to no avail. I’m not sure if it was just a bad batch that didn’t germinate, but unfortunately, these seeds did not yield any blooms.

They all sprouted nicely when sowed indoors. I’ve just moved them outside.
