Rudolph Arnheim would be over 120 years old, so yes this is written from a voice in a prior error. So if one doesn't have the patience for classic writing, this may be a wee tedious. But so so worth it! Absolutely brilliant and shatters many widely held beliefs.

The concepts in the book and by this author are amazing when translating art to photography and answers some questions of "Why?"

This amazing book! No words can tell how it's useful and important for artist. Comprehend results of such hard labored research is the best pleasure that one may have from reading.

The book was interesting and discussed a good deal about the self and how that comes out in artwork. Has colored photocopies of artwork created by individuals

gently used condition. Appl pages were there and the book is very interesting.

Bought for class but it's a wonderful read!

Pretentiously overly verbosely written. However, if you can wade through the verbal diarrhea it can give you some deep insights as to how the brain, visual cortex, etc, manages to view and process the information we see based on past experiences, consciousness, etc. There are, however, certain findings within the book that you will already know about & realize instinctively anyway. It's just nice to know that these are scientifically & artistically confirmed. So I'm not mad after all....

Good book at a good price. Although you can find Arnheim's books online I wanted the real thing, and I could get it. .
