Review from a bass head
***Review editUnfortunately I had to edit my review, a product is only as good as its stability, its also only worth it if you have an issue that something is done to help. After a few uses I started to get audio jumping on audio when moving. I figured out it was the phone cable, i tested the other cables which were okay and also verfied against other earbuds to ensure it was not the audio.Once i figured out what it was i tired to contact Fiio to ask them if i can arrange to swap for another cable. I didnt get a single reply from them neither from their store or their own website.I would warn anyone against getting anything from a company who does not respond, it is not worth the hassle therefore if you have a couple of viable options of which ones to get then you should go for the ones where reviews do not mention bad or non existent support. What happens if the buds break a couple of months in?? You have wasted your money!Thankfully Amazon have stepped in and allow me to return them for a refund but i got no option for a replacementThe short: These are brilliant for someone who likes various genres of dance music. The long review:First I thought I would explain myself and my musical tastes to help you decide if these would be worthwhile for you.I have been listening to dance music since the late 90s. I like Trance, Techno, House and some more chilled out stuff. I used to DJ years ago, had various decks for vinyl, then cd's etc. A good mate of mine was a resident DJ in play2 in Ibiza for years until recently with clubbing being a massive part of my life. I also listen to the occasional Indy band like The Enemy, Pigeon detectives etc however the main reason I wanted these is I have a new job role and am travelling one day a week now and didn't want to take out my over ear headphones. I also wanted something good for long dog walks in the summer that wouldn't get my head sweaty.I read various reviews and came close to buying the Shure SE235s, also considered the other FIIO products. TBH if the F9 Pros were the ones most were saying were better for EDM etc then it is those I would have purchased. The cost was not an issue for me but more the performance of them for the music I like.Now... different ear buds will be good for different people. Whats good for someone who likes Classical is likely not gonna be the same as for someone who likes a big bass line. If you are someone who like dance music then these will definitely please. To be more granular my musical preference is a big bass line, vocals for some music types but i find too much treble a bit piercing and tend to turn that down on earphones (i still do with an equalizer on these).Comfort:This is the first pair of and type of earbud/phones which I forget im wearing, my past beats earbuds would fall out with the slightest of movements (I like to put wire under clothing) and over ear headphones are noticeable or at least the ones I have tried are. The choice of tips are great but tbh the first ones i tried sat perfect for me so i have felt no need to try each size.Performance:Well. These are brilliant.I have mainly used the sound from my laptop and phone (Surface Book 2 + Galaxy S9) to test these out, both of which gives out what I would regard as a good enough quality for me. I have no idea if anything would better these, I have never tried a DAC or alternative music sources however I guess at some point I'll maybe test out a Fiio DAC or another brand. The music I have tested are from my own playlistsSome quick examplesMore chilled stuff (my take on chilled LOL)Laurent Garnier - The Man with the red face (original)Moby - Why does my heart feel so bad (Oxia Remix), Go (Victor Ruiz remix)Some Pete Tong Classic House done by an OrchestraKolsch Der ALteDeadMau5 - I rememberBigger bass lines:Marco-V - Red Blue PurplePatrick Topping - Be Sharp Say nowt, Forget, Track ChangeGareth Emery - Concrete AngelTiesto - Flight 643Block & Crown - In house we trustFisher - Ya Didn'tZsak - House of HouseMark Knight Jus' ComeMoby - Raining Again (Steve Angelo Vocal Remix)OverallAs I said Im more of a bass head, to me it doesn't matter about price, the plus points of one part of them over the other etc etc, All that matters to me is that it sounds good to my tastes, and how do you know if ear buds sound good to someone who likes dance music? Well you will know when the BASS DROPS and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up :-)

Excellent from FiiO
These are the best value for money IEM's out there. The extras included are top notch, a 3.5mm standard plug lead plus a 2.5mm balanced output lead, a really cool mini Pelican style box and 2 different types of earbuds in 3 sizes. The sound is very good, especially with the balanced leads, good soundstage with more than enough bass and a sweet never overboard treble; the mids favour male voices, but is acceptable with female voices. The fit of the earphones are perfect, with no feeling that they will dislodge, you just have to find the right earbuds to fit your specific ears. I use these mostly with the Fiio M7 DAP and they sound very good.

Great sound, not so great cable useability
Great sound from these earphones, the issue I have is the cable tangles on itself very easily, no matter how careful I am in winding it with the included rubber clip. The second cable it comes with has a 2.5mm connector making it useless for most standard devices. It is for use only with a FiiO brand amplifier as far as I can tell. I would like to buy a different cable for this phones, but I don't know yet what would be suitable.

Could be better
They sound good but a bit on the bassy side. I couldn't get them to wear comfortably, I had the uneasy feeling of them falling out any minute...

Outstanding value
I read extensive reviews online (I suggest head-fi) and decided that for £75 these would fit the bill in warm, bass driven and comfortable IEMs. I was not dissapointed, unboxing you get a small tough case, two cables (3.5mm and 2.5mm), loads of tips and the beautiful blue FH1s.For me the fact that the cable is replacable was a huge upside as my previous IEMs (sennheiser momentum 2) cable frayed and eventually broke under regular use, which I thought was really not good enough after sending back the second time I got a quote for them to be fixed!! Not impressed. The sound is fantastic, I popped on The Rover by Interpol and was incredibly happy with the attack and the way the mids shone through a nice deep bass, vocals are great and the warm sound is exactly my cup of tea. The fit is great, I barely feel like I have them on and I can even lay on my side as they fit in the ear so well. All in all I can recommend these highly, they sound like £150 plus IEMs
