I may not be educated on the benefits of V-Mount batteries vs. more traditional power banks or Sony NP-type batteries. I prefer to use Sony NP batteries with the appropriate power adapter plate or a device like this with a standard power bank. Both of these options offer more versatility in my opinion over V-Mount battery solutions and can often be used with other devices.This clamp is built like a tank, all metal, and a secure screw (clamp) method to tension the power bank in place. With an appropriate-sized power bank, you can power your camera, external monitor, phone, wireless mics, and just about any other accessory you desire to attach to your rig. A standard power bank can be sized up and provide power for as long as you want to film. Considering the build quality and its ability to secure the power source, this is an excellent choice. I suspect you could also use this to secure an external SSD (in lieu of a power bank) of appropriate size if your camera can record to an external device. Some have deducted a star due to the need to turn the screw knob multiple times (slow process) to insert and remove the power bank, if your power bank is sized appropriately I don't see the need to do this often so for me this device is 5 stars all the way.

This bracket is very heavy duty, as I've come to expect in products made by Neewer. I got this to be able to plug my camera into a power bank to prevent having to change batteries on long shoot such as overnight start trails, etc. It connects with no issues to my SmallRig camera cage and I like how the mount is padded to prevent the battery from slipping. It also has three 1/4 screw holes on the bottom so you can use it a phone mount on a tripod if you want. The only thing I don't like about is the thumbscrew that must be turned and turned and turned to open the mount. It's not difficult, it just takes time to manually open the bracket with the thumbscrew. A quick open/close mechanism would have been preferred. It's $24, which is a decent price point in my opinion because it's very heavy duty. However, keep in mind it will add a little weight to your rig.

This is a really nice build. The aluminum edges are all beveled. The screw area is completely enclosed. The clamp is spring-loaded so it opens smoothly. It could be improved with recesses for the side rubber pads so they can't shift loose as easily.It works with most of my power banks including my largest 20100 ravpower, but I did find one smaller one that was just under the minimum. Photo shows the ravpower, a normal 10k Aukey, and the fat 10k Aukey (Basix Mini) which does not fit. The curved jaws make a good hold on many curved power banks, but they limit it's ability to hold larger flat sided objects without excessive tightening. Stick to power banks, find another solution if you have something odd ball to hold on to.Adjusting the clamp size is really slow. Not ideal if you have many different size objects to clamp, but for quick swaps of the same type it will do fine.Initially the price seemed high. After all it is 2 machined jaws, some steel rods, a screw, a spring, a few washers, and a knob. Neewer's implementation is on the high end for sure, and that deserves a premium. After I looked at the competition I found the pricing is pretty competitive at least, but I don't think this type of product really justifies that price point.Warning against unconventional use: I opted to use it on a wall, and with an oversize item. It's not well suited to this. The mounting screws are very close together which is fine on a solid frame, but not so great on wood sheet. The knob ends up right against the wall which makes the already slow adjustment worse. The extra velcro strap in the photos was my attempt to manage the oversize item, and it gets the job done, but I don't recommend using it this way. It's a very good power bank holder, but not so good at things it wasn't designed for, go figure.
