Delicious and somewhat less expensive than tiny containers from other brands. This one has sugar so it has the iconic flavor I have associated with nori furikake being from Hawai'i. Good texture, the nori flakes could be a little bigger, but not a huge complaint. The big bag might be hard to keep fresh, but it does have a zip seal, so as long as that holds we will be okay. Good quality and the correct ingredients, this is definitely versatile enough for almost any rice based dish.

Best Furikake out there - and it has MSG and that’s just fine! I bought this because of the island connection. I’m from Hawai’i. We use Furikake often and in just about anything you can think of! Furikake over hot popcorn, steamed rice, French fries, even fruit! Ramen, sushi, avocado toast even shaved ice! Pictured here is our family favorite - furikake on avocado on seaweed squares. 😋 Funny thing is ppl believe when they see msg in a product it’s “bad”. If you would just do your research you’d find out that MSG is simply sodium (salt) + glutamate (also called glutamic acid, an amino acid). Glutamate is the most abundant amino acid found in nature. It’s formed within our bodies and is found in many protein foods. It’s also what gives it the “Umami” flavor! Umami is known as the fifth taste (in addition to sour, sweet, salty and bitter). It balances and deepens flavor and contributes to the savory flavors of certain foods like yogurt, salad dressings, baked goods, chips, French fries, even beer! The FDA, the World Health Organization and other food-regulating bodies around the world have debunked and dispelled claims it’s bad for you too so there ya go! Just dash this on and enjoy it..! You won’t be disappointed. I also got what looks like the new “Zip Lock” version of their bulk package of Furikake so now you can just zip it up and take it out as needed. Very convenient. The only problem I have with this product is wanting to eat it all the time! It’s ’Ono (delicious) to da max! Great job Pono!

The best Furikake I’ve found! My kids love this! Adds the best flavor to our homemade poke bowls!

Born and raised on Maui and now live in California. Finding authentic items that remind me of home is tough. My spice rack always has furikake. Love original, wasabi and yuzu. The pono furikake is solid! Plenty sesame and seaweed. I also like how it’s not only all large flakes so all the rice gets some seaweed love. If you have broke da mouth flavors, then this furikake is for you. I use it on our breakfast, lunch and dinner. My boys love their Portuguese, eggs and rice in the morning and can’t go without it. If you love the islands or from the islands, this furikake is solid. Also, the product is plastic so if you accidentally drop it, it won’t shatter into pieces like other options out there. I’ve already dropped few times and so have my boys. Get some!

This Nori Komi Furikake mix has some other light green leafy product besides nori in it that completely overpowers the mix. It doesn't mention anything other than nori in the ingredients that could be these green leaves (that may just be seaweed cut or prepared a different way). Either way, it tastes like chewing on grass clippings, and makes it completely inedible for me, unfortunately. Normal dark green nori vs light green leaves that taste like grass separated in picture. I originally got this hoping to get a bulk version of the small 1.7 ounce containers of the Japanese label furikake mix, but it is nothing alike.

Super fresh and a great amount for the price you pay. New daily topper for my lunches!
