Great fit and look.
The media could not be loaded. Of course my jazz bass is a Brazilian copy, but even still this control plate is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a great fit. Only warning is the packaging. It comes what seems to be cardboard laminated with plastic. Just be cautious opening the package, that's all.

Disappointing Finish
The finish looked so bad that I thought it was had a protective layer of plastic. It did not. Polished it up a little and used it, but less than pleased. Also missing 1 black screw.

Black version very nice part after a polish
As others have said, this part arrives with a hazy residue on it. However, a small amount of effort and some turtle wax turns it rich glossy black. It’s a strange finish, maybe a powder-coat process, but seems like it’s going to be very durable. In short, don’t despair when you open the package. That haze buffs right off and the part is really nice. It is steel, like the original plate.
