I will be using this when mowing on my Scag Tiger Cat II ZTR to pick up trash, fallen branches, rocks, my fence planks that I break off while learning to drive the monster, etc. The reach is perfect from the seat to the front and to the side. When not in use I can fold it up and put it on the deck between my feet and out of the way. I'm not trying to pick up small things so the review that mentions having to squeeze the handle all the way for small items doesn't really apply to my use case, but playing around with it I am able to pick up small screws easily. The handle is quite a bit more comfortable than my other brand of DOT reacher/grabber and I like the lock feature. I ordered a spare set of the suction cups for the future, no telling what I'll be picking up while mowing but my local Scag dealer has these also so you may be able to pick up spares so check with your local commercial mower dealers. I would have purchased this from my dealer but they did not have this length available and I found the 36" to short and the only other size they had was 60" and I'm not trying to pick up stuff from orbit. I did get the 36" to test out to see if I would like this style of grabber even though I knew it was too short. Just figured the point was not to have to disengage the lap bars and PTO so I would the next size up that folds for keeping it out of the way when not in use. This grabber seems well built and sturdy with plenty of reach so I can stay seated on my mower but still be able to pick up things. The only negative I have is the plastic is out gassing formaldehyde pretty badly, hopefully that will not continue to be an issue. I may wipe it down with Thieves and see if that helps with the smell.

Itโs not as good as the last one I purchased from them, yes unfortunately it was a few years ago and things change. This one I can at least use but itโs longer than the one I had so itโs much harder to pick up my bird feeders and hang them with out spilling them. The suction type one work best but extra length makes it more difficult to handle and raise higher than my head.

My old one lasted 15 years. So I bought the same brand. Seems every bit as good as my last one.

Dont waste your time on others. This ones the best one! Last one i had lasted 12 yrs with daily use. It was called arcoa then. So glad they still make it. My old one broke. More than half the movable handle broke off but still enough there to be usable but not as good. I might try to repair it. Edit: dec 14 2025 the top stationary part of handle broke off. Had been cracked on one side for a while. Lasted about 3 yrs with daily use. Notes about the last one. Seemed less sturdy than previous model. Rubber grip on moveable handle started peeling off 2 months in. The foldable feature makes it feel less sturdy. Had to tape the plastic slidey bit to keep in place cuz it kept sliding ( i grab the middle a lot for picking things up ie like the wire dishwasher rack to reach dishes). Still the best one but not as good as before.
