Born in 76, I still like writing. I had to have this notebook because the pen functions as a latch. It's metal and fits perfectly in my pocket. For me it's easier than pulling out the phone for a 2 second note. Also, your boss will immediately know you're working instead of watching YouTube if they walk by while you're making a material list or taking inventory of your tasks. Had one years ago but was at a loss trying to find one until I became an Amazon customer. So thank you to Amazon

I got this to jot down notes (shocker right?) the paper is nice and the pen writes well. I really love the tactile feeling when the spring opens it up after pulling the pen out. The only downside side is the same thing you see in the other reviews. The pen does fall out, the pen keeps it closed, but if it gets squeezed together a little bit, then that little bit of a release of tension allows the pen to slide out. I saw in another review someone said to put a piece of tape on it. I put a very small bit of duct tape at the very top of the pen and now it works perfectly.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Definitely nice quality metal case. Paper inside is a thinner than I'd like thickness. Same issue everyone else has had, pen doesn't stay in slot to keep notepad closed.

I find the little notebook very handy. I especially like the hard case as it is so much easier to write on. It’s a good value.

This is the second time I've purchased the Small Pocket Notepad. The Notepad takes up almost no room so it easily fits in a pocket or purse. The design of the case allows the pen to keep the notepad closed (so the paper does not get torn up) and means you always have a writing instrument available. This is a great product!

The pen was very loose in the holder and fell out. We tried to squeeze the tube to make it tighter but couldn’t.

I love it. It bothers me not that the pencil falls out!

I love slick gadgets and this one rocks pretty hard for a slick notepad.I'm wondering about refills...Write in the rain paper refills that fit this small size would be very nice for those of us who work outdoors.
