I have an autistic child who will drink all the sugary drinks out of the fridge if I let him. I put the lock on the fridge and it worked great. The cable is strong and doesn't break, and the adhesive sticks securely on the fridge. Definitely recommended if you need to lock a fridge.

Ease of installation.

My youngest likes to get into eggs and milk and stuff like that and just dump it all everywhere she we invested in one that has the keys to it and he broke it in a matter of two days. I have had these on for over a month and they are still going strong so I would say they are very durable and he can’t figure out the pass code so the dial lock is a good choice.

Faulty. It is possible to unhook the device by pulling the cable up and pressing down on the button. No combination needed.I wish it would work will because while the combination plate and back plate are large, the adhesive is great. The cable is a good length. This is why I have it (1) star. Maybe if the lock was actually used for child proofing and place in a high position where as child could not touch the lock itself. This would work at least temporarily.

Works well and keeps hands out of where they don't belong

I purchased this item to help keep my autistic granddaughter from eating everything in the frig as soon as it appears in our home. Within a few days she had learned to pull the cable out without entering the unlock code. This seems to happen randomly. Sometimes it catches and sometimes it doesn't. So I am looking for other options.
