Palatino Brazilwood Cello Bow
The product exceeds expectations. I know there are better bows out there but not for a 1/2 size cello. Quality workmanship and packaged for safety during shipment. Shopped pricing at local stores and nothing compared to this quality and was almost twice as much.

Nice replacement for my beginner orchestra kid.

Not well strung
This was purchased for my son in the hopes that it would be a little better than the used bow that came with his second-hand student cello. I could see that although at the outset it looked like it would do the job, the craftmanship was very 2nd rate. I know bows can be expensive but I had hoped it would suprise me and be good value for the price. After a couple months of use (my son practices a few times a week and is very careful), four of the hairs have broken (one was already broken upon arrival). I believe this bow was not well-strung. Bow is supposedly Brazilwood but now I think the brand name of bow is Palatino Brazilwood and the actual name of the wood is something perhaps used in toy manufacturing. The size of this bow is a little smaller than the bow that came with his 1/2 size student cello although I can't say 100% that the bow accompanying his 2nd hand cello is the original one so I'll leave it at that.Yes, I know some of you out there must be chuckling to yourselves at those naive mom's thinking they can get away with cut-rate instrument euqipment. No, even for my semi-beginner cellist, I would not reccomend this bow. I suspect it won't even last the rest of the year. If by some chance the manufacturer has a reply or solution for me, I will gladly report this back to any of you potential customers.
