Nice planter.Used it on my fence; held it in place with nails. You have to water the bottom but very regular as no rain water comes in;;;The plastic backing is handy as excess water gets collected there.

I purchased this product in black and green as a present for my Uncle at Christmas, he has now started to use the planters and is very happy with the black planter but the green planter has quickly discoloured due to watering. This has discoloured the planter so much so that he has now thrown it away after only a few weeks of use.

\bought this to try and mask a backgate and it works a treat, filled it with herbs it looks and smells great. Will be ordering another one!

This is a really clever invention but you do have to be careful how you set it up and how you use it. It works on the same principle as a hanging shoe tidy, a sheet to be hung on the wall from rivets, with six felted material pockets to be filled with compost and planted up with annuals or suitable fruit such as hanging tomatoes or strawberries. The felt is backed with a sheet of waterproof polythene to prevent the water poured in to the pockets from soaking through and wetting the wall or fence against which it is placed. The plastic also helps to maintain the moisture and prevent some evaporation from the surface.The key feature of this is that once set up and filled with compost and plants it is heavy.You need to pick a spot and install this whilst empty, with secure wall fastenings that are capable of taking considerable weight - fully grown plants and pockets full of wet compost will not be light. The bright green colour is very attractive, and will really brighten up a dull corner of the garden. Unless planting shade loving plants like hostas in this, this planter will need positioning where some full sun is available for part of the day.I'm not sure how well this will last for a second planting season. Plant pots can be scrubbed and sterilised to be used again, which won't be practical for this. Hence four stars instead of five. Given that expensive garden pots can often break in a frost, this is an unbreakable and reasonably affordable novel approach to planting.Disclaimer: I received my planter to review without cost, this is my honest opinion

I saw this at the Chelsea Flower Show and then purchased as a gift for a friend a few months later. The friend really loved it.
