Perfect fit and cost effective!
Perfect fit for my Kozy Heat (Hussong) 761DV gas fireplace. Wall switch had ceased functioning. Thermopile tested low on MV output. After replacement, Voile! wall switch functioning again. Total time to replace: 1 hour with most of the time spent removing and then reinstalling the fireplace glass and logs. No idea on longevity of this replacement (original lasted 20+ years).

Great Product for the Price
Exactly what I needed for my Williams gravity wall furnace, still working after about a year.

Check your thermostat connection first.
Arrived quickly โas advertised. Had a little trouble installing itโ because my heater was a tight fit, and had difficult screws to remove. When all put together, the heater did not respond to my thermostat. Turns out my thermostat had the problem. When I examined the thermostat, I saw that there was dirt ( rust?) on two of the connections and an odd space between those two connections. After cleaning the connections and using a light touch with a small screw driver, to equal the spacing between connection points, the heater turned on as it should I now suspect that I probably didnโt even need this part. But it is staying installed. Be careful when inspecting the thermostat. .

Fits (with some tweaks) Rheem whater heaters
Used it to rebuild Rheem performance platinum water heater pilot assembly. Off the shelf the brass sleeve at the back of the thermocouple body is too thick and cannot fit the pilot assembly tube. I had to grind 0.45mm of the sleeve diameter. The good news is the crown fits perfectly and the length of the body when inserted is almost exact. The result can be seen on the attached picture and the rebuilt pilot assembly works with the common Honeywell gas valve just fine. Note that the piezo igniter never fails and Rheem sells the complete assembly for $250. Of course, you can buy OEM from amazon for about $65 but I thought 15min of tweaking is worth it. To grind the brass sleeve uniformly, put the thermocouple body in a drill chuck, hold a piece of 120 grit sandpaper with the other hand and turn the drill at about 50 rpms. It will take about 8-10 min to grind the sleeve sufficiently.

Excellent, quality product. Fixed my issue quickly!
When the thermopile failed on my 12 year old gas fireplace, I needed a quick replacement. After some research, I decided to try this one, and I was thrilled with how perfectly it fit. It was easy to install, once I had the old one out, and it functioned perfectly (actually better than the original). Some quick comments: * The unit was well packaged and ready to be installed upon opening. * The thermopile tested well after installation, generating the correct voltages and restoring my fireplace's functionality. * The part appears durable, and well constructed. Very pleased with my purchase!

Worked for a Cozy Brand Wall Heater; saved the day
Lifesaver. Watched some Youtube videos and troubleshot my Cozy brand wall heater and determined that it was the Thermopile. I can't remember exactly, but I think the pilot light would stay on but the heater would not start. My old one was just under 230 millivolts or something which should have worked but I guess these are sensitive. It just worked. Plug and play. Phew. In a pinch you can try cleaning the old one with a dollar bill (anything coarser will remove the metal coating I guess?)

Produces only 575 mV, not the 750 mV as advertised and specified
This thermopile is advertised and specified to produce 750 mV. My unit only produces a maximum of 575 mV. I tested it open circuit (under no load) with my stovetop flame fully engulfing the upper sensitive portion of the unit (much more flame than normally realized from the pilot light) so that the upper portion of the unit was glowing red hot. After about two minutes, the open circuit finally crept up to 575 mV, but would go no higher. I went ahead and installed it until I can get a fully working replacement, and it only intermittently operates the gas valve in my fireplace. FWIW, I have degrees in both Physics and Electrical Engineering, so there is a reasonable chance I know what I'm talking about when I say that the product I received is out of spec, and not by just a little. I won't be buying any MENSI product again, if I can avoid it.

I ordered this product online when i figured out that it was the problem with my gas fireplace. would not stay lit and would not fire up. Received very quickly in perfect condition, I installed it in about 30 minutes and fireplace fired up immediately and is still working great after a month or so. this product was a perfect replacement for the OEM. I saw a few competing products online and they were less money but I decided on this one even though it was a little higher price. it seemed to be the best quality and it is working great.

Got two. One for the downstairs fireplace and one spare for when the upstairs one needs replacing. Pain to install but that's the fireplace's fault, not the thermistor. Original ran for 16years. This one is on it's second year. No issue.

Good quality. Used for fireplace which is never turned off so it sees a lot of use.
