To start, this mount is attractive and very well built. The carbon fiber gives off a quality appeal. It mounts very easy to the air vent and is very sturdy when holding the phone. The magnet is surprisingly strong and holds my Samsung fold 6 very securely when going over bumps while driving. It charges efficiently and does what I need to keep my phone charged and available. I highly recommend this mount.

So far everything seems to working the way it was intended. There are minor things that would have made it a 5 star. Driving around, the magnet is fairly strong. However expect your phone to fall is you hit a small pothole, or a set of uneven railroad tracks. It’s MagSafe, but for a car, magnet should be just a bit stronger. The wireless charging could be a little faster. If you’re in your car, odds are you have the thing on with Maps on some GPS app and this charger doesn’t compensate for that, but it will charge it. This is a very disappointing phone mount. I have two of the previous Pitaka magnetic vent mounts and have used them for several years in two different cars. One of the cars is a small roadster with a very stiff sport suspension. Maybe once in all this time I have had a phone fall off the mount. The new Pitaka vent mount magnet is much weaker and thus much less secure. This was immediately obvious and after two days of use, my phone has fallen off from the mount twice while driving. The charging feature is a pain to use. The phone has to be positioned perfectly in order for the coupling to complete and this is probably not the best position for maximum magnet strength. The good news is that the vent mount attachment works well and is secure once mounted. Overall very frustrating. Keep the charging capability and the nearly useless NFC function and give me stronger magnets. This is probably going back. Follow-up to this review: Pitaka Customer Support reached out to explain the incompatibility between my older Pitaka MagEZ case and the newer Pitaka MagEZ Pro mount. It all makes Sense. The two versions just don’t play together 100%. Pitaka makes great products and has great follow up support. Sorry it didn’t work out - but for my next phone, I’ll be back.

I've had an older Pitaka magnetic charging mount, used with an iPhone X and an iPhone 11 Pro Pitaka case, for years. The one I use the most fits in the slot of the car CD player - I also bought one for vent mount (used when I rent cars), but never liked that it just pushed on and caused the vent to droop. Two things about this new mount pleased me. First was that I could reuse the CD slot part of the old mount. Second was that the vent clip both firmly held onto the vent vane and allowed me to position it so that the bottom of the clip rested on the bottom of the vent, preventing it from drooping closed. As for charging, it worked for MagSafe charging both with the bare phone (iPhone 13 Pro) and when I got my new Pitaka MagEz2 case from Pitaka (a style not yet sold on Amazon.) The grip is fairly ferocious, so I found it worked best if I tilted the phone up to remove. The phone recognizes it as MagSafe, though it charges at 7.5W and not the higher power that the phone is capable of. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included, but I'm using a shorter, coiled cord as the distance to my USB outlet is short.

This mount looks clean in any car and just works. It’s sturdy, easy to adjust, and grips the AC vent without messing it up. The MagSafe magnet is crazy strong—your phone’s not going anywhere. Plus, it charges too, and you can just unplug the cable if you don’t need it. Would’ve been nice to have a switch to turn charging off, but overall, it’s a solid pick!

Just got this the other day, and it's working as advertised! Very solid magnetic grip on my Pitaka iPhone 13 Pro case. The vent mounting system is pretty clever too, a definite leg up in quality over the last mount I had (not a Pitaka). It allows you to tighten the mount grip on the vent AND separately tighten the ball-joint that positions your phone. It *does* stand the phone a bit farther off the dashboard than I expected (2-3 inches?), but that's minor. The quality of materials feels really nice too. I had a Pitaka case on my last iPhone for years, and it took the hits and looked great, never showing its age. This mount is a really nice compliment and matches aesthetically perfectly. Worth noting: this new car mount (new as of Oct 2021) is made for the sole compatibility for the MagEZ Case 2 and New MagEZ Case Pro for iPhone 13. I got my case right after the 13 was launched and bought the older Pitaka mount, which didn't work at all. Pitaka hadn't updated all their compatibility information at that point, or made it clear that a new mount was needed and coming soon, hence I bought the wrong one and had to return it. So just make sure you're getting the right one!

It doesn't fast charge my S22 Ultra their proprietary magsafe case, but the magnets are amazing. Other than that, the cooling fans do no turn on at all so that's a bust. You'd expect a fast wireless charger to come with its own car light charger and cable ties that can start a little bit of heat in the car, but the ones they've supplied with the charger are weak to 25C apparently. At least it serves as a good stand for the phone, if it doesn't charge it fast..
